Kazuhiko Hasegawa (長谷川 和彦, Hasegawa Kazuhiko, born 5 January 1946) is a Japanese film director. He won the award for Best Director at the 1st Yokohama Film Festival for The Man Who Stole the Sun.

Biography
Après quelques années passées à la Nikkatsu comme assistant réalisateur et comme scénariste pour des réalisateurs de roman-porno comme Chūsei Sone et Tatsumi Kumashiro, Kazuhiko Hasegawa passe une première fois à la réalisation en 1976 avec Le Meurtrier de la jeunesse, produit par ATG, un film sombre sur un jeune homme qui assassine ses parents. Il revient à la réalisation trois ans plus tard avec L'homme qui a volé le soleil, produit par la Tōhō cette fois-ci et dans lequel un scientifique excentrique construit une bombe atomique et fait chanter le gouvernement.Les deux films réalisés par Kazuhiko Hasegawa font partie des plus sombres et des plus critiques envers la société japonaise sortis dans les années 1970. Ils lui valent de nombreuses récompenses.

Jun Saiki tient en gérance un bar appartenant à son père près de l'aéroport de Narita dont la construction se termine malgré la forte résistance au projet de la part d'opposants. Alors qu'il retourne récupérer sa voiture au garage de son père, une énième dispute éclate au sujet de Keiko. Son père qui a engagé un détective privé lui apprend que Keiko aurait été violée par l'amant de sa mère. La famille Kobayashi décide de réaliser leur rêve et d'emménager dans une maison moderne en banlieue. Chacun à sa propre occupation. Le père Katsuhiko se consacre à son travail, la mère Saeko occupe sa place de femme au foyer, la fille Erika prend des cours de chant et le fils Masaki prépare ses examens. Apprenti photographe, Koichi rencontre Etsuko, une styliste de mode habitant une ancienne base militaire transformée en quartier résidentiel. Après l’avoir repoussé, la jeune fille finit par s’attacher à lui et l’invite à s’installer chez elle. Ce dernier en profite pour vivre à son crochet. Un jour, un couple d’amis d’Etsuko, sans travail comme Koichi, décide également de vivre chez elle. Le quatuor se coupe peu à peu du monde extérieur pour vivre en petite communauté et pour passer leurs journées à faire l'amour. À travers le sexe, ils recréent un monde sans contraintes, régi par leurs propres règles libertaires et qui s'oppose à la société fondée sur des normes sociales pesantes. Alors qu'Etsuko travaille pour subvenir à leurs besoins, les deux mâles, dont Koichi, se rêvent artistes mais finissent par vilement exploiter des photos prises lors de leurs ébats.

Saeko is abnormally attached to her older sister, Yumi. When Yumi becomes engaged to Arikawa, Saeko schemes to separate the two. She seduces Arikawa who then becomes confused over his attraction to both sisters. He approaches their father about his dilemma. The father explains that the two are actually half-sisters, Saeko being the result of his affair with Tomoko, a family maid. After Arikawa explains this to the sisters, Saeko's obsession with Yumi seems to end. However, when Yumi and Arikawa leave for a vacation together, Saeko follows them on the night train. When she catches up to them, she kills her sister with a razor blade and then kills herself.
