Koen De Bouw (born in Turnhout, 30 September 1964) is a Flemish actor.
He was in training for actor at Studio Herman Teirlinck in Antwerp and made his breakthrough in Belgium with his role of serial killer Stef Tavernier in the TV-series Wittekerke. He played the role from 1995 until 1996.
In 2003 he was the protagonist in the thriller The Alzheimer Case. In 2005 De Bouw played the main character in movies as De Indringer en Verlengd weekend. In the same summer he left to Cuba for three months for the takes of Koning van de wereld. From January 2006 on the actor worked at the cinema movie Stormforce and Dossier K., the successor of The Alzheimer Case. In 2008 he featured in the original version of the movie Loft (with scenario written by Bart De Pauw and Erik Van Looy). In the meanwhile in Germany he cooperated in Love Hurts and Falling Rocks directed by Peter Keglevic.
Koen De Bouw is also active in theatre. He regularly made shows with Jan Decorte (Amlett, In het kreupelhout and O Death) in Het Toneelhuis. In the Raamtheater he could be seen in the play Trojaanse Vrouwen and later also Una Giornate Particolare (after the homonymous movie), in which he interpreted a tormented homosexual under the strict regime of Mussolini.
Apart from acting, De Bouw also presented the gardening programme Groene Vingers on vtm from 2007 till 2011.

Luc Segers est heureux. Il habite une belle maison avec son épouse Ella et leur fille Anna et obtiendra bientôt un poste à la direction de l'entreprise Logistics. Groenten uit Balen is based upon real events which took place in the Belgian community Balen. In 1971 it turned out the workmen of Vieille Montagne in the other Belgian plants had a much higher salary for similar work. The workers in Balen wanted a raise. This led to a dispute between the workmen, the trade unions and the directors board. The 1500 workmen in Balen went on a strike, but this was not accepted by the trade unions. As a result, the workmen did not earn any money at all. The strike went on for 9 weeks. Many charity was set up by inhabitants of Mol and Balen. Jef Sleeckx, a politician, convinced the banks to cancel payments temporarily for affected workmen. Houselords did not ask rent during the strike. Shops gave food for free or gave the impacted workmen a temporary job. At the end, the directors board agreed and the workmen even got a higher wage than requested.

Ledda, a former hitman for organized crime, agrees to a last killing, despite his recently developed Alzheimer's disease. He is to kill two people; on killing the first and recovering a package from the first victim, he then learns the second victim is Bieke, a twelve-year-old girl pimped by her father, who had been recently busted, but then killed by police trying to escape. Ledda refuses to kill a child. Resultantly, his employer, Seynaeve, has another hitman kill Bieke and orders him to kill Ledda. While escaping from Nazis during World War II, a Jewish man buries two suitcases full of things dear to his heart in the ground. The war deprived him of his family, and afterwards he endlessly turns over the soil of Antwerp to find the suitcases, an obsessive compulsion. He keeps checking old maps and keeps digging, trying to find what he lost. His daughter Chaya is a beautiful modern girl looking for a part-time job. She finds a place as a nanny in the strictly observant hassidic family with many children, although her secular manners clearly fly in the face of their beliefs. One of the reasons she is accepted is that mother of the family is absolutely overburdened by the household, so Chaya stays despite the resistance of the father, who is normally an indisputable authority in the family.
