Lakshmi Menon est né d'un artiste dubaïote et d'un professeur de danse, Usha Menon. Elle a commencé la danse à l'âge de 3 ans et a appris Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi et Kathakali. Madhavan (Dileep), an educated youth from a small village of Idukki, comes to Kochi to stay with his brother's family after his brother's sudden death. His brother Sudhakaran (Ganesh Kumar) was a customs officer. He was found dead in a mysterious circumstance and Madhavan doubts that it is a cold-blooded murder. In the mean time, he befriends an insurance agent Manimekala (Lakshmi Menon) and falls in love with her. Madhavan tries to find the mystery behind his brother's death.

The film shows how terrorist outfits use money to lure unemployed youth to do their bidding. A mentally challenged young woman wanders on the city streets creating a lot of commotion. Many people, including policemen, take advantage of her. A report on her miserable plight is aired on television. Following this, Aboobacker (Sphadikam George), a rich businessman, seeks out the young woman and gets her admitted to a hospital. Aboobacker is certain that the young woman is Raziya (Meghna).
