Lev Isaakovitch Lemke est né le 25 août 1931. Il est sorti de l'école de théâtre à Dnepropetrovsk en 1959, puis a travaillé dans un Nouveau théâtre De Moscou des miniatures, en jouant des petits rôles. En 1962, l'acteur a déménagé à Léningrad et a commencé à travailler dans le théâtre de Léningrad dans des pièces de comédie, avant de devenir un des grands comédiens de la troupe. The storyline of the film follows the final months of 1916 up to the murder of Rasputin; some events have been telescoped into this time though they actually happened earlier, during the war. Rasputin's effect on people around him is shown as almost hypnotic, and the film avoids taking a moral stance towards him—breaking not only with Soviet history but also with how he was regarded by people near the court at the time, some of whom regarded him as a debilitating figure who disgraced the monarchy and hampered the war effort.

Dogs and cat are together again. Three dogs and one cat are now good friends and they continue their adventures while they are following their owner, a forest ranger (played by Petr Shelokhonov). This time the cat becomes the leader of the four friends. Cat Svetofor together with three dogs: Bubrik, Fram, and Toshka are going on a winter journey, they follow their owner on an airplane flying North. The four animals travel to a nursery where Christmas trees are grown. There four animals help people to stop the fire and save Christmas trees. Then, together with their owner, the four friends join children for celebration of the New Year.

A young beautiful orphan Girl lives with her uncaring Stepmother, who treats her like a servant, and her spoiled foolish Stepsister. The two of them send her to gather firewood on New Year's Eve.
