Lisa Jakub (born December 27, 1978) is a Canadian-American writer, and a former child actress. She is best known for her roles in Mrs. Doubtfire as Lydia Hillard and Independence Day as Alicia Casse.

Biography

After retiring from acting in 2001 at the age of 22, Jakub moved to Virginia and married longtime partner, a former Hollywood theater manager, Jeremy Jones.

Jakub has publicly stated that she has no plans to return to acting. She has written about her experiences as a child actor. When Jakub received the part of Lydia in Mrs. Doubtfire, her school expelled her. Her book You Look Like That Girl was released on June 30, 2015.
