Lloyd Gough (September 21, 1907 – July 23, 1984) was an American theater, film, and television actor.
Gough also played Daily Sentinel crime reporter Mike Axford in the TV series The Green Hornet in 1966-1967.
Married to the actress Karen Morley, both were brought before the House Un-American Activities Committee and when they invoked the Fifth Amendment they were blacklisted, effectively terminating their careers in Hollywood until the late 1960s. In 1966 he played Richard Bayler in the Perry Mason episode, "The Case of the Scarlet Scandal." In 1952 he had appeared as the main villain in Rancho Notorious, but his name was removed from the credits due to the blacklist. He would later appear in the film set during the Hollywood blacklist period, The Front (1976), and his name was accompanied by his blacklist date.

Marsha Mitchell (Ginger Rogers), a traveling dress model, stops in the Southern town of Rockpoint to see her newlywed sister, Lucy Rice (Doris Day). Within minutes of entering the town she notices unusual behavior by the townsfolk, such as dozens of people closing up shop and getting out of sight. As she walks down the almost-pitch-black main street, she sees loud noises coming from the police station. She hides but sees a drunken KKK mob, beating and berating a man whom they had just broken out of jail. The man untangles himself from their clutches, and he starts to run but goes only a few yards before someone in the mob twice fires a shotgun, killing him by striking him in the torso and the head. The mob, confused, approaches the fallen man, arguing among themselves.
