Malcolm Terris (born 11 January 1941 in Sunderland, County Durham) is a British actor.
He had a lengthy career in a large number of television programmes. Possibly his best-known role was in When the Boat Comes In, a popular 1970s series, where he played the part of Matt Headley. (This was the rather bluff trade union official who was a good friend of Jack Ford, the leading character, but they fell out and whose sister Jack married.)
He also played the part of Dr. Thomas Huggan, ship's surgeon, in the 1984 film The Bounty.
In April 2011 he appeared as Len Merryman in an episode of Midsomer Murders.
In 1958, and prior to going to drama school, Malcolm was a trainee reporter on the Sunderland Echo, the town's evening paper.

England manager Phil Cope suffers a heart attack during qualification for the World Cup, which started out well but has gone badly wrong of late. The FA heads meet to decide who should be the new England manager, but soon run into trouble. The most successful Premier League manager is Scottish (based on Sir Alex Ferguson), the second most successful is a former England captain who is interested in the job, but the FA decide that he is too much of a "loudmouth" and refuse to consider him (a reference to the numerous times Brian Clough was passed over for the England job), while none of the other English managers in the Premiership are interested. They are forced to look to Division One, and Bassett, who has just won the Mr Clutch Cup with Norwich City.

In the film, Karl Hulten (Kiefer Sutherland) is an American GI who is stalking the black market of London after stealing an army truck and going AWOL. There he meets up with Betty Jones (Emily Lloyd), a stripper with a deluded fantasy world view formed by watching a steady stream of Hollywood film noir and gangster pictures. Rowf (a Labrador-mix) and Snitter (a smooth fox terrier) are two of many dogs used for experimental purposes at an animal research facility in the Lake District of north-western England. Snitter has had his brain experimented upon while Rowf has been drowned and resuscitated repeatedly. One evening, Snitter squeezes under his cage and into Rowf's, where they discover his cage is unlatched. Eager to escape the tortures of life inside the facility, they explore, knocking over other cages and finally sneaking into the incinerator, where they are nearly killed before escaping.
