Malin Ek (born Malmö, April 18, 1945) is a Swedish stage and film actress. She won the Eugene O'Neill Award in 2010. She is the daughter of actor Anders Ek (the 1971 O'Neill Award laureate) and choreographer Birgit Cullberg.
She won the award for Best Actress at the 19th Guldbagge Awards for her role in Mamma. She won again in 1985 for her role in False as Water. She won it for a third time at the 26th Guldbagge Awards for her role in The Guardian Angel.

The story is set in Stockholm where 11-year-old Reine is on the verge of puberty and afraid of sexual maturity. He lives in a suburb with his single mother who sends him to a traditional Swedish summer camp (common at the time of the setting and managed by the cities for children in need of visiting the countryside. The title of the film is the name of the most well-known such camp). The audience is introduced to Andreas Winkelman, a man living alone and emotionally desolate after the recent demise of his marriage. He meets Anna, who is grieving the recent deaths of her husband and son. She uses a cane as a result of the car crash that killed them. While Anna uses Andreas' phone, he listens to her conversation, after which she departs visibly distraught. Anna has left her handbag behind and Andreas searches it, finding and reading a letter from her husband that will later prove she is deceptive.
