Maniyanpilla Raju is a Malayalam film actor and producer. Though his real name is Sudheer Kumar, he is known by the screen name Maniyanpilla Raju. This was the name of the character he played in the film Maniyanpilla Adhava Maniyanpilla. His debut movie is Mohiniyattam directed by Sreekumaran Thampi.

Biography

Raju was born as youngest among four in 1955 to Shekharan Nair and Saraswati Amma at Thycaud, Thiruvananthapuram. He has two sisters, Ramani, Radha and a brother surendran. He had his primary education from Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram. He did pre university degree in Victory Tutorial College. He learned diploma in acting course during 1973-1975 from Adyar Film Institute, Chennai. He wrote his autobiography Chirichum Chirippichum in 2012.

He is married to Indira on 1985. His elder son is Sachin and his younger son Niranjan made his debut in Renjith's Black Butterfly.

Police constables Balagopal (Sreejith Ravi) and Jolly Kurien (Joju George) have been at odds for years but are under orders to transfer two prisoners from Kannur to Trivandrum. They board the Parasuram express with the handcuffed inmates. While at the Kayamkulam station, prisoner Nandu (Vineeth Sreenivasan) escapes. The two officers get off the train at the next stop with second inmate Maran (Chemban Vinod Jose) and frantically searches for Nandu. The three unlikely musketeers finds the back-story of Nandu. Nandu's father, Narayanan (Nedumudi Venu) always have a wrongful intention to his step-sister, Lakshmi (Nikki Galrani). Nandu, one day determines to kill his father for the same, but the trap he set accidentally killed his mother. He was arrested for his mother's murder. One day his Narayanan comes to visit him at jail and reveals his true intentions for his step-sister. Nandu determines to escape at any possible opportunities. The three musketeers finds Nandu while roughing with Narayanan, both with the intention to kill. Accidentally Jolly Kurien kills Nandu's father. With knowing Narayanan's story, Maran devises a plan to not let the issue known to others, to which everyone agrees. Narayanan's body is buried in a nearby church cemetery at that night itself. In the end of the day everyone is shown as happy in their karmic lives.

In 2000, George (Nivin Pauly), a 16-year-old pre-degree student, develops an unrequited love for Mary (Anupama Parameshwaran), the so-called "prettiest girl" in the region of Aluva. George and his friends Shambu (Shabareesh Varma) and Koya (Krishna Shankar) follow Mary and her companion Celine (Eva Prakash) around every day. George decides that he wants to propose to Mary, and Shambu and Koya accompany him to do so. However, George does not propose quickly enough, and is heartbroken to learn that Mary is in relationship with a different boy, also named George. The final scene of this stage ends in 2002 where George, Shambu and Koya feel depressed realising that they have failed in their pre-degree final examination.

The story begins with Vasu, father of Vasoottan (Kunchacko) rescuing people from a bus fallen from a bridge on to a flooded river. During the rescue, vasu gets drowned in front of the onlookers which include his friend Prakashan (Joy mathew), his wife and his child while trying to rescue a kid. Then the story moves over to Vasootan who is a Auto-Rickshaw driver, who is a very helpful person who has got all the good qualities like his father. He helps anyone who is in need. Sabu (Suraj Venjarumoodu) is Vasootan's friend, who was a one time goon and got reformed due to Vasootan's influence. Vasootan helps Sabu to marry Muthumani. One day a girl named Parvathy hires his auto to go to Railway station. As the train was about to depart, she asks vasoottan to take her to the Bus stand. But after an adventurous journey Vasoottan drops parvathy at the Railway station on time. She thanked him and went off. After a few days Prakashan's son informs that a girl has come to their studio and inquired about Vasoottan and the accident that took place long back in which Vasoottan lost his Father. Vasoottan thinks that it was Parvathy. Vasoottan receives a call from Parvathy and she asks him to come to her house to meet her Father. Sabu and Prakshettan ties a bet saying that Parvathy loves Vasoottan and had called him for fixing their Marriage. Vasoottan goes to her house and understands that they have called him for seeking his help in their Buisiness of delivering 100 numbers of Jamnapari goats to a Foreign Firm. Parvathy's Father (Maniyan Pilla Raju) and Mother (Anju Aravind) pleeds to Vasoottan for his help and finally he agrees to help them getting 100 Jamna Pyari goats on time. Sridharan (Renji Panicker) was Parvathy's Father's rival and he tries all ways to getting their business unsuccessful with his money and muscle power. At first Vasoottan arranges 10 Jamna Pyaris from local. Then they started giving advertisements in print, audio as well visual and e-medias. They received vide responses for the ads and finally they manages to reach the target. After too many complication Vasoottan and Parvathy gets their love succeed at the end.
