Ma Marc is a Chinese actor. He appeared in many Chinese movies and TV dramas as supporting roles. He joined Universe International Holding Limited in March 2011.

Biography

Ma was born in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province in Northwest China. His father was a drama actor, therefore he was interested in acting. When he was graduated from high school, he left his hometown and came to Beijing for entrance exam of Central Academy of Drama. However he failed the exam. To pursue his dream, he became one of the Beijing drifters. Ma mentioned in an interview that he earned his living in Beijing by working as waiter and car wash worker at that time.

In year 2000, he worked as production assistant in a TV drama production company. In year 2003, he acted as the role "You Tanzhi" in the TV drama Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils directed by Zhang Jizhong. Since then he has been cast in an increasing number of roles.

In the movie The White Storm (2013), he acted as an uppity young Tsimshatsui gangster Dune Kun and built good reputation in China.

Une série d’attentats à la bombe se produit à Hong Kong, suscitant la peur parmi la population. L'ancien agent de déminage Poon Sing-fung (Andy Lau), tombé dans le coma à la suite d'une explosion, devient le principal suspect en raison de ses liens avec l'organisation criminelle Resurrection. Après son réveil, Poon est interrogé et emprisonné. Il s'évade pour découvrir la vérité et prouver son innocence. Sur sa route de fugitif, il demande l'aide à son ancien camarade d'armes, également démineur, Tung Cheuk-man (Lau Ching-wan). Cependant, les deux se querellent car Tung doit choisir entre la justice et l'amitié. Il décide de choisir cette-dernière et aide son ami. Au même moment, l'ex-petite amie de Poon, Pong Ling (Ni Ni), qui est maintenant inspectrice en chef de l'Unité de lutte contre le terrorisme, cherche désespérément à découvrir le coupable de la série d'explosions et persuade Poon d'entrer en contact avec le groupe Resurrection pour découvrir sa prochaine cible et prouver son innocence. Poon réalise qu'il est tout aussi difficile de dévoiler la vérité que de se débarrasser d'explosifs.

The film stars two estranged brothers in Guangzhou, Tai-kwan and Keung, who work as firefighters. The last time they spoke with one another was during the funeral of their father, four years before the events of the film. Keung, now retired from firefighting, operates a fire protection systems company. In the beginning of the film, he holds a celebration of the opening of the office of his company. Meanwhile, Tai-kwan's wife, Si-lok, is seeing a gynaecologist. The company and the doctor are in the same building. A fire breaks out in the basement and travels upwards. Tai-kwan, who submits his resignation before the fire breaks out, sends in his unit to fight the fire. Keung finds Si-lok and struggles to rescue her.
