María Barranco (born 11 June 1961), born Dulce Nombre de María Magdalena de los Remedios Barranco García, is a Spanish actress, who has won two Goya Awards for Best Supporting Actress.

Born in Fuengirola, Province of Málaga, she studied medicine, but left to study drama in the city of Málaga, where she participated in various theatre groups. Later, she moved to Madrid to debut at the theatre with La venganza de Don Mendo (Don Mendo's revenge).
Her film debut was in 1986, in the film El elegido (The Chosen).

She was married to filmmaker Imanol Uribe, but they divorced in 2004. They have a daughter, Andrea, born in 1993.

Biography
