Mark Tildesley (born 1963, London) is a British designer and director. After graduating from the London College of Printing, earned a First Class BA Honours from the Wimbledon School of Art under the direction of Richard Negri.
He co-founded (with designer Francis O'Connor) the Catch 22 Theatre Company. At Catch 22, he directed, designed, and performed in productions. He continued designing for the theatre, with numerous productions for the Young Vic (under the direction of Michael Bogdanov) at the Royal Opera House.
His feature film credits as production designer encompasses notable collaborations with several directors. For Danny Boyle, he designed 28 Days Later…, Millions, and Sunshine, for which he won a British Independent Film Award (BIFA). For Marc Evans, he designed Resurrection Man and House of America, the latter of which brought him a BAFTA Cymru Award. His films for Michael Winterbottom include I Want You, With or Without You, Wonderland, The Claim, 24 Hour Party People, and Code 46. The latter two films earned him BIFA nominations.
His other films as production designer include Fernando Meirelles The Constant Gardener, also for Focus Features, for which he was an Art Directors Guild Award nominee; Mike Leigh’s Happy-Go-Lucky; Roger Michell’s The Mother; and Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s 28 Weeks Later.
In 2012 Tildesley co-designed (with designer Suttirat Anne Larlarb) the Summer Olympics opening ceremony in London.

The story opens in 2010, with the release of the Afghan War Logs. It then flashes back to 2007, where journalist Daniel Domscheit-Berg meets Australian computer hacker Julian Assange for the first time, at the Chaos Communication Congress in Berlin. Daniel's interest in online activism has led him to Assange, with whom he has corresponded by email. They begin working together on WikiLeaks, a website devoted to releasing information being withheld from the public while retaining anonymity for its sources. Their first major target is a private Swiss bank, Julius Baer, whose Cayman Islands branch has been engaged in illegal activities. Despite Baer's filing of a lawsuit and obtaining an injunction, the judge dissolves the injunction, allowing Julian and Daniel to reclaim the domain name. As their confidence increases, the two push forward in publishing information over the next three years, including secrets on Scientology, revealing Sarah Palin's email account, and the membership list of the British National Party.

Simon (McAvoy), an art auctioneer, becomes an accessory to the theft of a painting–Goya's Witches in the Air–from his own auction house. When a gang attacks during an auction, Simon follows the house emergency protocol by packaging the painting. The gang's leader Franck (Cassel) then takes the package from him at gunpoint. Simon attacks Franck, who delivers him a blow to the head that leaves him with amnesia. When Franck gets home, he discovers that the package contains only an empty frame. After ransacking Simon's apartment and trashing his car, the gang kidnaps and unsuccessfully tortures him. But he has no memory of where he has hidden the painting. In 1966, numerous pirate radio stations broadcast to the United Kingdom from ships anchored in international waters, specialising in rock and pop music that is not played on BBC Radio.
