Biography
In 1968, Clark married Billy Dee Williams in Hawaii. She is step mother to his son Corey, from his first marriage. Their marriage lasted only two years and they officially divorced in 1971.At one point in her life, Clark experienced a car accident. In a 2000 interview, Clark claimed she was almost raped while filming a scene in one of her movies.

The film follows Dr. Hess Green (Duane Jones), a wealthy black anthropologist who is doing research on the Myrthians, an ancient African nation of blood drinkers. One night, while staying in Green's lavish mansion --richly decorated with African art--, Green's unstable assistant George Meda (writer/director Gunn), attempts suicide. Green successfully talks him down, but later that night Meda attacks and stabs Green with a Myrthian ceremonial dagger, and then kills himself. Green, discovering the body, drinks Meda's blood and becomes a vampire endowed with immortality and a need for fresh blood. Though he steals several bags of blood from a doctor's office, he quickly finds that he needs fresh victims.

The plot centers around ex-Vietnam veteran and ex-Green Beret Captain, Slaughter (Jim Brown). The film begins with a couple being killed by a car bomb. Left off after the events of the first movie The Blob, an oil pipeline layer named Chester (Godfrey Cambridge) returns to his suburban Los Angeles home from the North Pole, bringing with him a small sample of a mysterious frozen substance uncovered by a bulldozer on a job site. Prior to taking the blob to a lab to be analyzed, he places the storage container with the substance in his freezer, but he and his wife (Marlene Clark) accidentally let it thaw, releasing "the Blob". Captain Steve Bannerman (Lloyd Bridges) has been asked to fly one last passenger flight from Hawaii to Australia for Trans-Pacific Airline.
