Marzieh Meshkini (en perse: مرضیه مشکینی) est une réalisatrice iranienne née à Téhéran en 1969. Elle est l'épouse de Mohsen Makhmalbaf. Elle apprend le cinéma au sein de la Makhmalbaf Film House. Elle est assistante réalisatrice dans les films de sa belle-fille Samira Makhmalbaf La Pomme et Le Tableau Noir et dans les films de Moshen Makhmalbal Le Silence et La Porte.
En tant que réalisatrice, elle signe deux films :
2000 : Le Jour où je suis devenue femme (Roozi ke zan shodam) a reçu treize prix internationaux.
2005 : Chiens égarés (Sag-haye velgard) sélectionné en compétition officielle au festival de Venise 2004.
Elle est la scénariste du film Le Cahier réalisé par sa fille Hana Makhmalbaf.

Un petit garçon d'une famille riche est handicapé moteur et a besoin d'aide pour se déplacer dans un village d'Afghanistan où le fauteuil roulant n'a pas fait son apparition. Cet enfant embauche un jeune garçon valide physiquement, mais simple d'esprit, pour la belle somme d'un dollar par jour. Khorshid lives with his mom in a house near a river somewhere in Tajikistan. The landlord comes around every morning to ask for the rent. Khorshid has to provide the money or else they'll have to leave. His blindness has given him an amazing skill in tuning musical instruments which gets him a job at an instrument making workshop. But the problem is That Khorshid is mesmerized by sonorous music all the time; whenever he hears a great musician play, he loses track of time and place. For this, he always gets lost and gets to work late. How is he going to make a balance between his love of music and his task as a breadwinner.
