Matthew Vincent "Matt" Lattanzi (born February 1, 1959) is an American actor and dancer. He is most commonly recognized as the first husband of singer and actor Olivia Newton-John, and for his acting in films such as My Tutor and the soap opera Paradise Beach.
While filming Xanadu, he met Olivia Newton-John, whom he married in 1984. The couple have one daughter, Chloe Rose Lattanzi, born on January 17, 1986. By 1992, Lattanzi's acting career was largely over, and he took a job as a construction worker for a home-building company in California. Lattanzi and Newton-John moved to their ranch in Australia in 1993 so that Lattanzi could audition for the new soap opera, Paradise Beach. He won a six-month contract for the show.
Lattanzi and Newton-John separated in 1993 after Lattanzi had an affair with another woman. They divorced in 1995. He then married Cindy Jessup, but they divorced in early 2007.
In 2008, he briefly appeared in the MTV reality series Rock the Cradle, supporting his daughter Chloe (a contestant on the show). That same year, Lattanzi—a life-long environmentalist—was reported to be living off the grid near Malibu, California.

Biography
Lattanzi was born in Portland, Oregon, the son of Jeanette (née Slowikowski) and Charles Paul Lattanzi. His father is a maintenance foreman of Italian descent, while his mother is of Polish ancestry. He was raised in Portland as well, graduating from Benson Polytechnic High School in 1977.While filming Xanadu, he met Olivia Newton-John, whom he married in 1984. The couple have one daughter, Chloe Rose Lattanzi, born on January 17, 1986. By 1992, Lattanzi's acting career was largely over, and he took a job as a construction worker for a home-building company in California. The movie follows the antics of high school students and their adventure in saving their school from being closed. Class president Melissa (Loryn Locklin) has started raising money through donations to keep the school open, but when the fundraising begins to slow down, Dylan (Matt Lattanzi) convinces Melissa that he can save the school with his plan. They take $3000 of the money that has already been raised to bet on an illegal car race that Dylan is convinced he would win. Dylan doesn't win the race and in order to get their money back, he is forced to double-down on an impossible race against the clock that only the town legend has ever accomplished. The film ends with a spectacular stunt with car and driver jumping through the goal-posts during a football game between two local high schools, Apollo and Cathedral.

C.D. "Charlie" Bales (Steve Martin), the fire chief of a small American ski town in Washington, is intelligent, humorous, charismatic, athletic and skilled.
