The movie opens with Dogen attacked by a "skybike" (a one-man, open-cockpit flying machine), piloted by a nomad. Dogen shoots down the bike and finds one of Syn's crystals on the pilot's body. Carved into the crystal is a symbol of a dead tree. Dogen next finds a murdered prospector, whose young daughter Dhyana (Kelly Preston) saw him killed by Baal (R. David Smith), Jared Syn's half-cyborg son. Baal sprayed the man with a green liquid that caused a nightmare dream-state, in which Syn appeared and executed him with a crystal. Dogen convinces Dhyana that it's his mission to find Syn and she joins him.

Miss Marple est en vacances à la Barbade, dans une pension tenue depuis peu par Molly et Tim Kendal. Parmi les autres clients se trouve le major Palgrave, personnage bavard qui lui raconte pourquoi il porte un œil de verre. Il explique à miss Marple qu'un assassin se trouve probablement dans l'île, et s'apprête à en montrer la photographie, mais il s'abstient quand il voit arriver un groupe de quatre autres touristes. Le lendemain, le major Palgrave est retrouvé mort, d'une crise cardiaque semble-t-il. Une jeune employée antillaise de la pension remarque que dans la chambre du major se trouve un médicament qu'elle n'y avait jamais vu auparavant. Après l'exhumation du corps de Palgrave, il est établi qu'il a été empoisonné.

In the 1880s, a small boy called Barney, a wombat called Amanda and an Irish convict called Rafe are the sole survivors of a shipwreck. They head off to Ballarat together to find Barney's father. On the way two gypsy woman drug Rafe and try to steal Barney's money. Rafe is wrongly accused of horse theft and his imprisoned by Barney helps him scape. Barney is eventually reunited with his father.
