Michelle Manning is an American film director, producer and television director.
Manning attended USC Film School. She began her career working with John Hughes, producing the films Sixteen Candles (1984) and The Breakfast Club (1985). In 1986, she made her directorial debut with the film Blue City based on the Ross Macdonald novel of the same name. The film starred Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy and remains the only film she has directed to date. In addition, she also directed episodes of Friday the 13th: The Series and Miami Vice.
In 1991, Manning began working for Paramount Pictures as senior vice president of production. In 1997, she was promoted to president of production. She continues to work for Paramount, producing the films The Eye (2008) and The Dirt (2011), based on the music autobiography of the same name.

Jenny Parker et Lola Perez sont deux filles complétements différentes. Jenny est organisée, maniaque et sérieuse alors que Lola est une rebelle qui aime s'amuser et profiter. Sydney Wells is a successful classical violinist from Los Angeles who has been blind since she was five years old, caused by an accident with firecrackers. Fifteen years later, after celebrating conductor and pianist Simon McCullogh's birthday during rehearsal, Sydney undergoes a cornea transplant, which causes her eyesight to return, a bit blurry at first. As time goes on, Sydney's vision begins to clear; however, she also begins experiencing terrifying visions, mostly of fire and of people dying. She also sees people that are already dead, on one occasion when a girl passes right through her. Sydney attempts to unravel the mystery of the visions, and also to convince others, primarily her visual therapist and fellow violinist, Paul Faulkner, who helps her in her quest. She knows that she is not going insane.

High school sophomore Samantha "Sam" Baker (Molly Ringwald) struggles to get through the day on her 16th birthday, which her entire family has forgotten about because her older sister, Ginny, is getting married the next day. In a filthy kitchen of an underground abortionist, an unkempt former medical doctor puts on surgical gloves and quickly downs a full glass of cheap whiskey. Face down on the kitchen table is a barely conscious Porter (Mel Gibson), severely wounded with two large bullet wounds in his back. The doctor pours whiskey on Porter's back to sterilize the area and digs out the bullets. Porter spends five months recuperating. Porter narrates that he had $70,000 taken from him and that is what he was going to get back.
