Mike MacDonald (born June 21, 1954) is a Canadian stand-up comedian and actor. He has written and/or starred in many movies, including Mr. Nice Guy. In addition to his successful and well received live performances all over North America, MacDonald has appeared in such TV shows as the Late Show with David Letterman and The Arsenio Hall Show.

Biography

MacDonald has disclosed that he has Bipolar disorder, and he has supported the advocacy group Standup for Mental Health.

In 2011, MacDonald was diagnosed with hepatitis C, and he moved back to Ottawa from Glendale CA, where his wife Bonnie is hoping to sell their house. In April 2012, his illness progressed to the point where his liver and his kidneys shut down. He was put on the list waiting for a liver transplant. Friends organized a campaign to collect donations to support MacDonald and to help cover his medical expenses. On March 15, 2013 MacDonald underwent a successful seven-hour liver transplant operation.
He was being moved out of the ICU department the next day.
He has since returned to performing.

In 1850 in Germany Clara's family are celebrating on Christmas Eve. Clara is jealous because her older sister, Louise, has a boyfriend, leaving her feeling sad and wondering about growing up. Brad Lovett, Steve Hardman, Hugh G. Rection, and Marvin Eatmore are four get-nowhere boys who are forced into summer school, ending up at Cockswell Academy under the supervision of Principal Arsenault.
