Molly Kathleen Ringwald (born February 18, 1968) is an American actress, singer, dancer, and author. Her first major role was in The Facts of Life (1979–80) before making her motion picture debut in the independent film Tempest (1982) that earned her a Golden Globe nomination. After subsequently appearing in the successful John Hughes films Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), and Pretty in Pink (1986), Ringwald became a teen icon. She later starred in The Pick-up Artist (1987), and For Keeps (1988). She starred in many films in the 1990s, most notably Something to Live for: The Alison Gertz Story (1992) and The Stand (1994). Ringwald is part of the "Brat Pack" and she was ranked number 1 on VH1's 100 Greatest Teen Stars. Ringwald was married to Valéry Lameignère, a French writer, in Bordeaux, France, on July 28, 1999; they divorced in 2002. She married Panio Gianopoulos, a Greek-American writer and book editor, in 2007. They have a daughter, Mathilda (born 2003), and twins, Adele and Roman (born 2009). Felix Funicello, écrivain américain d’une soixantaine d’années, revisite pour nous ses souvenirs du Noël de l’année 1962 qui resta, pour différentes raisons, gravé à jamais dans sa mémoire. Fifth-grader Felix Funicello (Ralff), the cousin of famous Mickey Mouse Club Mousekteer and teen idol/movie actress Annette Funicello, lives in the fictional small town of Three Rivers, Connecticut. Based on the "Molly: An American Girl" book series, the film is set in 1943 to 1944 during World War II. 10-year-old Molly McIntire lives in the fictional town of Jefferson, Illinois with her parents and 3 siblings. Her father is an Army doctor. Molly is in the third grade at Willow Street School along with her best friends, Linda and Susan, and queen bee Allison. In the beginning, Molly, Linda, and Susan are at the movie theatre talking about how they think their teacher, Miss Campbell, is nice and pretty and they think her fiancee, Lieutenant Davies, is handsome as well. The girls then go to an ice cream parlor and are disappointed that they are out of ice cream, but they decide to go with cherry coke instead. As Molly's 10th birthday nears, she dreams of having princess-themed tea party for her birthday, although she is disappointed to learn that her family can't afford such a fancy party. Molly's older sister Jill then says she is too immature to understand how the war changes peoples lives. As Molly's class learns about the war going on and air raid drills, Molly's father announces that he must go to London to help injured soldiers. Molly is furious that her father is leaving her and going to an unsafe city, but he comforts her by calling Molly his "North Star" and telling her to look at the stars. Molly then decides she wants to be the school's "Miss Victory" but she struggles to practice her tap dancing and Allison has been dancing since she was a toddler. Molly also gets chosen to represent her class in the school spelling bee. When Molly's mother takes a job, the girls are looked after by their neighbor Mrs. Gilford, who is stern and obsessed with her son who is in the Navy. Soon after, the McIntires must take in a British girl named Emily Bennett who is the same age as Molly. At first, Emily is very shy and Molly doesn't want to live with her but Jill insists she must. After being peppered with too many questions about her home in London, Emily lies to Linda & Susan by saying that her parents were of royalty and she lived in "Bennett Manor." When Emily wakes up in the midst of a nightmare, she confesses to Molly that her parents have died and she lived in a small apartment above a candy shop and was not rich or royal. Molly forgives her. When Molly sees her mother baking a casserole for Mrs. Gilford, she learns that her son had been killed at war and feels empathetic toward her. Not long after, Miss Campbell's fiancee had also been killed. In the end of the movie, Molly and Emily both win the spelling bee and Molly is chosen to be Miss Victory. She also is very ecstatic to learn that her father is ok and not hurt.

Fed up with Brad's (Frank Roberts) on-screen antagonist's foul-ups, his director, Hilary Jacobs (Kylie Minogue), publicly humiliates him and fires him on the spot in front of onlookers. Her further degrading of him (as he comes hoping for one more chance) in her office causes this actor to go berserk, mutilating himself before cutting out her tongue using the modified prop shears as his real-life signature weapon. Before he could harm anyone else, his co-star Vanessa Turnbill (Molly Ringwald) gives him a makeshift tracheotomy which ends in Brad being seemingly electrocuted as P.A. man Lossman (Geoff Revell) looks on. But as Brad dies it seems he curses the source of his misery: Hot Blooded and all who would work on it. Now in present-day Australia, Lossman is a teacher using his personal experiences as warnings to his students that any attempts to complete filming or even screening of Hot Blooded! has ended up with lives being lost in mysterious and disturbing ways (like a producer being suspiciously electrocuted in an editing room or a director mysteriously discovered with his throat slit). But some of his pupils decide such a chance is too much of a temptation and despite his better wishes they decide to try to finish the film as a graduation grade. They contact Vanessa Turnbill to co-star; she is persuaded by her agent to go back to Australia; when she arrives at the airport she is greeted by Raffy and Hester who take her to a press conference to give the film publicity; while being interviewed a local reporter asks Vanessa if she is worried about the curse on the film, she passes off the question with a joke saying that "Oh if I die, I get paid extra".
