Myrna Fahey (March 12, 1933 – May 6, 1973) was an American actress best known for her role as Maria Crespo in Walt Disney's Zorro and as Madeline Usher in the film version of Edgar Allan Poe's, The Fall of the House of Usher.

She appeared in episodes of 37 television series from the 1950s into the 1970s, including Bonanza, Wagon Train, Straightaway, The Time Tunnel, Maverick, Gunsmoke, Perry Mason, The Adventures of Superman, Kraft Suspense Theatre, and Batman.

Biography

Fahey was born in Carmel, Maine, near Bangor in 1933, but grew up in Southwest Harbor near Bar Harbor, Maine, where she was a cheerleader at Pemetic High School. She began competing in local beauty pageants in the early 1950s. She acted one season at the Pasadena Playhouse before breaking into TV, and became an avid skier in California. She invested in stocks and one of her contracts stipulated that she have a stock ticker in her dressing room. Besides Joe DiMaggio, she also dated George Hamilton. She died on May 6, 1973, at age 40 at St. Johns Hospital, Santa Monica, California, after a long battle with cancer. She is buried in Mt.

Philip Winthrop (Mark Damon) travels to the House of Usher, a desolate mansion surrounded by a murky swamp, to meet his fiancée Madeline Usher (Myrna Fahey). Madeline's brother Roderick (Vincent Price) opposes Philip's intentions, telling the young man that the Usher family is afflicted by a cursed bloodline which has driven all their ancestors to madness. Roderick foresees the family evils being propagated into future generations with a marriage to Madeline and vehemently discourages the union. In 1947, widow Lora Meredith (Lana Turner) dreams of becoming a famous Broadway actress. Bank robber Jim Larsen is handcuffed to Deputy Marshal George Allison (Francis De Sales) who is taking Larsen aboard a train to begin a 5–10 year prison sentence. Without animosity, Larsen tells the deputy that he will use his time in prison to plan more bank robberies. This new robbery would be foolproof as Larsen feels that he was only caught by using a partner; the next time will be singlehanded. Boarding the train, Larsen overpowers the deputy, takes his pistol and handcuffs one of his arms to the guardrail on the rear car of the train. Suddenly, Larsen's younger brother Danny (Ron Hayes) unexpectedly comes from the train to free Larsen, even though Larsen was handling his escape fine. The elder Larsen chides Danny that he does not need help from anyone.
