Nagendra Prasad is a Kollywood cine artiste who acts and choreographs for films. He is the youngest son of dance master Mugur Sundar, and younger brother to popular cine artistes Prabhu Deva and Raju Sundaram. He was most noted for his appearance in the song "Humma Humma" from the film Bombay. He has also acted in the 2001 super hit Kannada movie Chithra opposite Rekha Vedavyas aka Akshara. He also acted in the Kannada movie Manasalla Neene which was directed by his father ace choreographer Mugur Sundaram and was the remake of the super hit Telugu movie Manasantha Nuvve starring Uday Kiran and Reema Sen. He has also acted in a tele serial called "Maya Machindra" in STAR Vijay. He took part in jodi number 1 season 6. He was eliminated in semi finals but his performance in all the rounds were outstanding. He has a dance school, MSM dance school named after his father.

The movie opens in an engineering college in Ooty with a narration of the characters. Rajiv Samuel (Abbas) is a computer engineering student and is one of the top students in the college, whereas Rajesh (R. Madhavan) is a mechanical engineering student who is the bad guy of the college. A mutual problem between the two groups led by both Samuel and Rajesh puts both Sam and Rajesh at loggerheads and they pull pranks on each other to get the other in trouble. It culminates into a fist fight but is soon broken up their friends. In the fight, Rajesh punches Sam in the face, which is against the rule, and Sam promises to return the favor in future. They graduate from the college soon and promise to not see each other ever again. Sam goes abroad for job, while Rajesh stays back in India saying that he does not want to leave his motherland.

Karthikeyan (Arjun) is a photographer-cum-editor working in Indian Express. Chitra (Meena) is a bank employee. Both reside in Navi Mumbai. Karthik meets Chitra while opening a bank account. While returning home, Karthik again meets her in a train. He offers his seat but Chitra does not want to accept it.
