Nico Cristian Mirallegro (born 26 January 1991) is a British actor who played the role of Barry "Newt" Newton in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks from 22 October 2007 until 25 June 2010. He played the role of Finn Nelson in the E4 television series My Mad Fat Diary.

Biography

His father is Sicilian and his mother Maureen Mclaughlin is Anglo-Irish. He has a younger sister called Claudia Marissa, born in 1992. He has been good friends with actors Elliott Tittensor and Luke Tittensor since he was sixteen. Mirallegro grew up in Heywood, Greater Manchester and attended Siddal Moor Sports College.
