Norberto Barba (born September 12, 1963) is an American television and film director. He is known for his work on the Law & Order franchise.

Natif du Bronx, dans l'État de New York, Barba étudie à la Regis High School (New York) , à l'Université Columbia et, plus tard, à l'USC School of Cinematic Arts . Après avoir obtenu son diplôme, il devient assistant réalisateur à lAmerican Film Institute.Barba commence sa carrière de réalisateur en 1992 avec le court métrage Chavez Ravine, qui raconte l'histoire d'un père et de son fils qui, au milieu des années 1950, défendent leur foyer contre des promoteurs immobiliers voulant construire le Dodger Stadium. Fearful that the Soviets would continue their lead in the space race and be the first to put a man on the moon, NASA felt an enormous pressure to push the Apollo Program forward as quickly as possible, though they knew that pushing too hard could lead to the ultimate disaster. Gina is a sweet and dedicated mother to her little son. One day, while shopping with him for a Halloween mask, her son is accidentally shot through the chest by a Japanese gunman who is trying to kill an opposing gang of bus operators. Gina notices that the gunman has a picture of a blue tiger tattooed on his chest. She becomes obsessed with vengeance and has an identical red tiger etched into her skin. She then tracks down the killer and plots his death. This leads her into the world of the Japanese Mafia, where she uses her sexual allure and newfound knowledge of the Japanese language to search the tattooed men for the same blue tiger bearer that killed her son.
