P. Ravi Shankar (born Pudipeddi Ravi Shankar Sarma) also known as Bommali Ravi Shankar or Sai Ravi is an Indian film actor, dubbing artist, director and writer. He primarily works in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films. He dubbed for over 2600 films with more than 1000 films each in Telugu and Tamil languages. He dubbed for over 150 films each in Kannada and Malayalam films. He is the brother of popular Indian actor Sai Kumar. He won seven Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards for Best Male Dubbing Artist and one Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Male Dubbing Artist. He made his directorial debut with the Kannada film Durgi in 2002. He also worked as a dialogue writer and penned dialogues for over 75 Telugu films and 150 Tamil films. He also worked as a playback singer for films such as Rakta Charitra and Bejawada. He won his first Filmfare Award for his performance in the film Kempe Gowda.

Biography

Ravi grew up as a child in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Ravi's father P.J. Sharma was also an actor and dubbing artist who worked in many Telugu, Kannada and Tamil films. His elder brother Sai Kumar entered in film industry as dubbing artist and became a very successful actor later. He is married to a Punjabi woman, Suchil Ravi Shankar and the couple has one son named Adhvey Shankar.

In the ancient Kingdom of Mahishmati in India, Sivagami, the queen mother (Ramya Krishnan), carrying a baby in her arms, emerges from a cave adjoining a big waterfall. She kills the soldiers pursuing her and sacrifices herself to save the baby. Local villagers spot the queen's hand carrying baby in the river and rescues the infant. This story is about a guy named Mani (Sharan), who also is an imposter of a dreaded goon named Bottle Mani (P. Ravi Shankar). Due to this he earns the wrath of bottle Mani. Alternatively, Neelakanta Raju (Ramakrishna), a member of a royal family is a old man with three daughters and a long last son. He hopes that his son and his grandson come to him one day, while his sons-in-law want him to die as soon as possible. To get the old man killed, the three sons-in-law along with Shastri (Suchendra Prasad) go to city and contact a guy who promises him to send Mani to act like grandson of Neelakanta Raju. Instead of the original bottle Mani, he fixes up Mani so that Mani could get his mother cured with the contract money.
