Per Johan Axel Åhlin (born 7 August 1931) is a Swedish artist and director of animated films. He is known for his collaborations with the comedy due Hasseåtage, and for his own projects such as the feature film The Journey to Melonia.

Biography
Per Åhlincommence sa carrière en collaborant aux productions cinématographiques du duo comique suédois Hasse et Tage, dont il réalise les séquences animées. Il est notamment le coréalisateur, avec Tage Danielsson, du film I huvudet på en gammal gubbe sorti en 1968, dont il a signé toutes les séquences animées et qui est considéré comme le premier long métrage d'animation suédois. Il a également collaboré à Svenska bilder, premier film du duo comique sorti en 1964, L'Homme qui a renoncé au tabac sorti en 1972, Ägget är löst! sorti en 1975, Les Folles Aventures de Picasso sorti en 1978.Il fonde en 1967 la société de production de films d'animation PennFilm Studio AB qui produira, entre autres, l'ensemble de ses réalisations.

An antropomorphic dog named Sture is talked into taking a trip to Paris by his friend Picasso. After a series of misfortunes they end up in Scotland instead, staying at a mysterious hotel. Picasso remains ignorant and believes they are in Paris. Sture befriends the novelist Miss Mops and gets to meet several mysterious characters living in the hotel as strange events revolving around an Egyptian artifact start to take place.

On a summer evening in northern Sweden, when the sun doesn’t quite set, Dunderklumpen (an animated character) comes out of the woods to seek some friends to keep him company. He comes upon a "human" house of the Wolgers family where Dunderklumpen finds toys belonging to a boy named Jens and his young sister. Using his magic, Dunderklumpen brings the toys to life and takes them away to the woods where he lives. This adorable and amusing crew includes the small but fiercely brave lion Lionel, the demanding toy girl Doll, the cute harmonica-playing bear Pellegnillot, and the ridiculous Dummy the Bunny.

On the way home to the run-down shack he lives in with a can of dog food meant for himself, Johan Björk is accidentally covered by a pile of car tires thrown by a man who fails to notice him. His cries for help aren't perceived by anyone except one drunk, who is caught by the police when calling for assistance. Finally, at night, a young couple making love on the pile of tires notice him. They help him to get up and assist him to his home. He is hurt in the leg and understands that he can't take care of himself anymore, so he is put in a retirement home.
