Peta Sergeant is an Australian actress best known for her lead role in the Australian television series Satisfaction. She graduated from NIDA.

Her other television credits include the television series All Saints, Winners & Losers, Last Man Standing, Jeopardy, and Canal Road.
Film credits include George of the Jungle 2 and The Bet. She received critical acclaim for her portrayal of a woman on the run in Steve Rodgers' play, Savage River, for the Griffin Theatre Company. Sergeant received praise as "a stand out performance amid an excellent cast" in Sue Smith's Thrall.

She was cast as Nina Cruz in the Melbourne Theatre Company production of All About My Mother, an adaptation for the stage based on the film by Pedro Almodóvar, directed by Helpmann Award-winning director Simon Phillips. In 2012, she starred in Iron Sky, as Vivian Wagner, a campaign adviser to a Sarah Palin-like president of the United States, who later becomes general on the US' interplanetary warship USS George W. Bush. In 2013, she starred in Patrick as Nurse William. In 2014, she played the Jabberwocky in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland and Francesca Correa in The Originals. In the 2015 telemovie The House of Hancock, Sergeant portrayed Rose Porteous.

Biography

Nicole Peta Sergeant est née sur l'Île de Penang en Malaisie. Son père, d'origine irlando-australienne, a grandi dans une ferme du sud de l'Australie et a rejoint, jeune homme, la RAAF. Il rencontra la mère de Peta alors qu'il était stationné à la base aérienne de Butterworth. La famille s'est installée en Australie quand Peta était encore petite fille.

Elle est diplômée de l'Institut national d'art dramatique d'Australie.

Kathy (Sharni Vinson) is a young nurse that is eager to prove herself in her new job in an isolated psychiatric clinic. She's intrigued by Patrick (Jackson Gallagher), a comatose patient that her boss Dr. Roget (Charles Dance) assures her is incapable of truly responding to any external stimuli. Kathy is horrified by the experiments that Roget and his nurse Matron Cassidy (Rachel Griffiths) inflict upon him, and she's initially pleased when she finds a way to communicate with him. This quickly turns to horror when Patrick uses his psychic abilities to interfere with her life outside of the hospital, as Patrick has grown obsessed with Kathy and will harm anyone that he deems to be interfering with his relationship with her.

After receiving a distress signal, a team of elite commandos are dispatched to extract a scientific team in a secret military base. The team is instructed to shoot on sight any prisoners that they see. When they arrive, the commandos split into three teams. However, team leader Romeo (Ditch Davey) disobeys orders when he recognizes one of the prisoners, Eve (Amber Clayton), as his dead wife. Confused, Romeo asks how this is possible, but Eve claims to be suffering from amnesia and can only remember bits and pieces of her life. The others dispute this and want to kill her, but Romeo is adamant that she accompany them. After an encounter with a mutant gorilla, Elvis (John Brumpton) is killed and tensions begin to rise; the team begin to wonder what kind of experiments could have been performed at the base.
