Peter Duryea (July 14, 1939 – March 24, 2013) was an American actor. He is best known for appearing in a pilot episode of Star Trek: The Original Series, "The Cage" (1964), most of which were reused in "The Menagerie" (1966), as Lieutenant Jose Tyler. His father, Dan Duryea (1907–1968), was also an actor.

Peter Duryea was the head of a non-profit society called Guiding Hands Recreation Society which hosted a peaceful getaway called the Tipi Camp, located in the West Kootenay area of British Columbia, Canada. Groups and individuals book time at the Tipi Camp to reflect in a gentle collection of tipis along an idyllic lake. People travel from all over North America to participate in many of the different programs available at the Tipi Camp. Some of the more popular programs are the "W.I.S.E Camp" (Wilderness Immersion for Self-Esteem) and the annual Yoga Retreats. The "W.I.S.E Camp" is intended for teenagers and emphasizes self-respect, respect for others and respect for the environment. The closest town is Nelson.

Peter Duryea died on March 24, 2013.

An ancient Chinese scroll is stolen from a museum in Los Angeles and teenage Don Pringle (Kirk) arrives on Catalina Island simultaneously. Although approximately half of the film involves swimsuit-clad adolescents dancing on yachts in several different dance montages, Pringle and his friends investigate the scroll's theft and discover that the parents of one of the boys is responsible — also while attempting to woo a mysteriously depressed young woman Katrina Corelli (Ulla Strömstedt) from her vaguely threatening boyfriend Angelo (Lyle Waggoner). After wrestling the scroll away from Angelo and his cohorts, bent on more dangerous results (in an underwater scuba diving action scene), the boys secretly return the scroll to the museum to the relief of the repentant parents.
