Rahman (born Rashin Rahman on 23 May 1967) is an Indian film actor who has starred in more than a 150 films, primarily Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films.

Rahman made his debut in Koodevide (1983), for which he won his first Kerala State Award for Best Supporting Actor. He was a popular teen idol in Malayalam cinema during the 1980s, then became a lead actor in Tamil cinema during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He eventually shifted to Tamil and Telugu films during the 1990s. He did make a comeback in Malayalam films since 2004 and has been acting in supporting roles in Tamil and Telugu films post-2000s.

Biography

He is born on May 23, 1967 at Abudabi who originally hails from Nilambur, Malappuram. He had his primary education from Baldwin Boys' High School, Bangalore, St Joseph's School (Abu Dhabi), Rex Higher Secondary School, Ooty and pursued preuniversity degree from M.E.S Mampad College, Malappuram.

He is married. He and his wife they have two children.

After having killed the notorious extortionist Mayil Vaaganam in the first film, Duraisingam (Suriya) has gone undercover after meeting the Home Minister and is working as an NCC officer in a school in Thoothukudi. The only people who know about this operation are the Chief Minister and Home Minister apart from himself. Sathya (Hansika Motwani) is a student who falls for Duraisingam though he is waiting to marry Kavya (Anushka Shetty), his love interest from the previous film. Susai (Santhanam), a local who works in the same school shows Duraisingam parts of Thoothukudi and also tells him about the rogue elements dominating the area helping him in his surveillance. He requests the Home Minister to transfer Erimalai (Vivek) and another cop for assisting him. Sathya's moves are frequently repulsed by Duraisingam who learns that Sathya is the niece of Thangaraj (Rahman). Bhai (Mukesh Rishi) and Thangaraj, are two criminals who control the area. Bhai and Thangaraj have connections with an international gangster and drug lord Danny (Danny Sapani).

The movie opens with ACP Antony Moses aka Rascal Moses (Prithviraj) getting into an accident which causes him, a partial memory loss. Before the accident, he had solved the murder case of his friend, Assistant Commissioner Aaryan John Jacob (Jayasurya), who was killed during a gallantry awards ceremony at police/parade grounds possibly by a Long range rifle. Antony gets into the accident while talking to his senior officer and brother-in-law Farhan Ashraf (Rahman),Commissioner of police. He tells him that the case is solved. But, before giving the name of the murderer, accident occurs. Farhan tells Antony, about his past and the tragedy occurred to their friend, Aaryan. He reassigns Antony Moses, back to the case. Antony re investigates the case during which he finds out the murderer.

Harischandra Prasad (Nandamuri Balakrishna) is an influential leader in Rayalaseema and he treats all his people as his children. When Bobby was a small Kid the villains kidnap him and threaten Ramakrishna to leave his father and save Bobby. Although Harischandra Prasad has no love on Ramakrishna, he loved his father and for fulfilling his father's wishes he stands protecting and Bobby is said to be escaped from the house. But Ramappa and his followers make Bobby a professional killer at the age of 12 by another killer (Charanraj) and use him to kill Harischandra Prasad. The whole family except Ramakrishna and his step-brother (Rahman) is unaware that Bobby killed Harischandra Prasad.

David Billa (Ajith Kumar), a Sri Lankan Tamil refugee along with several others, arrives at the town of Rameswaram in boat. After being interrogated by an arrogant civil servant, he is let into the refugee camp where he befriends Ranjith (Yog Japee). David makes his presence felt, when he slaps Muthu (Theepatti Ganesh) one of the rogue workers around for making a derogatory comment. The refugee camp is constantly terrorised by a corrupt police officer Raghubir Sinha (Krishna Kumar). After witnessing the brutal murder of one of the inmates at his hands, David attacks Raghubir when he tries to forcefully detain one of his friends. Raghubir then gets David tortured in prison, and vows to make him suffer. A few days later, Muthu calls David and Ranjith aside and promises them work. Billa and Ranjith are hired to transport fish from Rameshwaram to Chennai. But unknown to them, the truck they were driving had diamonds inside, and Raghubir had alerted his men on the highway to catch them red-handed. As per the plot they get caught in the check post, and after realising what had happened, Billa kills all the cops and drive the truck to its destination. Here they meet Selvaraj (Ilavarasu) who is pleased by Billa's loyalty and includes him in his businesses. Billa gets back and murders Raghubir as well as the arrogant civil servant he had initially met at the camp. He then goes to meet his elder sister (Janaki Sabesh) and his niece Jasmine (Parvathy Omanakuttan) in a church. When they see his gun, they realise that he is involved in crime. Not knowing what to say, Billa simply walks away.

Tony (N. T. Rama Rao Jr) does anything for money. When Tony went to Kashmir he met a young girl named Niharika (Tamannaah) while being kidnapped by terrorists. He falls in love with her and then rescues her. But Tony found out that Niharika was already engaged to Rakesh. Rakesh is a goon (and the minister's son) but Niharika doesn't know that. When Niharika found out that he was a goon, she dumped him. And she also came to know that she is in love with Tony. Later on Tony kills Rakesh and captures his son DSP Jr.(Sai). Later on when Tony, Niharika, and Chitra (Payal Ghosh) go to the temple, Chitra sees Tony killing someone. And then there is a flashback about how he and Niharika met before but she lost her memory. That happened because Niharika's brother was an undercover cop and when goons found out they killed the whole family. The only one who survived was Niharika but she had a bullet in her head. The doctors said that she would lose her memory soon. So, she tells Tony to kill the people who killed her family because she had seen Tony beating up a bunch of people. In the end tony kills all the goons who killed Niharika's family.
