Evelyn Renee O'Connor (born February 15, 1971) is an American actress, producer and director, known for the role of Gabrielle on the television series Xena: Warrior Princess.
O'Connor first came to the attention of Xena: Warrior Princess executive producers Robert G. Tapert and Sam Raimi with an audition that won her the role of the young Deianeira in their two-hour "Action Pack" adventure Hercules and the Lost Kingdom. They later cast her as Gabrielle, Xena's companion on Xena: Warrior Princess.
After the Xena series ended, O'Connor started her own film production company. She continues to attend Xena and science fiction/fantasy conventions.
Personal life
From 1995 to 2001, during the filming of Xena, O'Connor lived in New Zealand, where she still owns a home. O'Connor married New Zealand native and restaurant manager Steve Muir on October 14, 2000. They have a son, Miles William Muir (born September 22, 2001). The couple divorced in 2005. O'Connor became involved with actor Jed Sura in 2004. She and Sura have a daughter, Iris Sura O'Connor (born March 19, 2006).

O'Connor began her television career at the age of sixteen with a string of commercials and minor television appearances.O'Connor first came to the attention of Xena: Warrior Princess executive producers Robert G. The film begins in November 20, 1969, 50 miles off Soviet waters. When the USS Acushnet dives under the ice, a young Ahab listens for enemy subs when suddenly he detects an unknown target. When the captain listens, he hears nothing, but Ahab insists in the presence of an emptiness. The target dives into a trench, but the captain abandons his search in favor of photographing the target. The target attacks the submarine as Ahab hears a roar. The sub is brought to the icy surface, and the target identifies itself as a gigantic, white, whale-like creature. Ahab survives, but loses his leg to the beast when it hauls the other half of the sub back underwater.

Astronaut and Osteopath, Dr. Ivan Hood (Bruce Campbell) and his companion Kelly (Renee O'Connor) return to Earth after a 40 year space mission with two other astronauts. They are soon captured by other humans and one of their team is killed after sustaining a sprain; Dr. Hood pointed out that it would have healed in a few days. They are taken to a work camp, to their surprise, is run by locust-like aliens. These aliens had arrived 20 years ago to feast on the trees and used E.M.P. bombs to cripple earth before their invasion. The other member of their team is eaten alive by one of the aliens after refusing to work. The camp is supervised by human bounty hunters; they are treated better. After seeing how illiterate and savage humans have become due to the aliens, Dr. Hood and Kelly plan to make an escape the next day after hearing rumors that the President has survived and has an army waiting to strike back.

Long after Zeus stole the Cronus Stone from the monsters called the Titans, he and Alcmene gave birth to a son named Hercules, who defeated two serpents (presumably sent by a jealous Hera) at a young age and became a hero. After Hercules battles a sea serpent, the villagers thank him, and Iolaus climbs out of a restchair and joins him. Hercules and Iolaus head to Thebes to see Alcmene but Iolaus is a little upset because Hercules takes the credit. Meanwhile, Xena and Gabrielle reclaim the gold stolen by satyrs from a group of travelers in Corinth. Ares tells Xena to stop Hercules from going to Thebes because there is a trap set for him there, but Xena doesn't believe him and leaves with Gabrielle.

The film captures the social impact of political change in China at the time. A semi-literate who was deprived of schooling during the Cultural Revolution, Li Huiquan, is released from labor camp.
