Rex Everhart (June 13, 1920 – March 13, 2000) was an American film and musical theatre actor.
Everhart appeared in such films as 1978's Superman. He was also known for his role as "Enos" (the truck-driver) in 1980's classic horror film, Friday the 13th and its sequel. He provided the voice of Belle's father, Maurice, in the 1991 musical animated Disney classic, Beauty and the Beast.
Everhart performed in numerous roles on Broadway including 1776 (musical), Chicago, Woman of the Year and the revival of Anything Goes. He was nominated for a 1978 Tony Award as Best Actor (Featured Role - Musical) for Working.
In 1969, he was the understudy to Howard Da Silva in the role of Benjamin Franklin in the musical 1776. When Da Silva suffered a heart attack just prior to the show's opening, Everhart took over the role until Da Silva was well enough to return to the show. Because he appeared in the opening night cast, he was contractually eligible to perform the role on the original Broadway cast recording (Da Silva was finally able to record the role when 1776 was filmed in 1972). Ironically, when 1776 was revived on Broadway in 1997, Everhart again served as the understudy for the role of Benjamin Franklin.

This made for TV movie is all about a family of forest gnomes who live together in their home under a tree. The family consists of a father, mother, grandfather, older son Tor, and a set of young twins. The movie mainly concerns itself with Tor, his upcoming marriage to his fiancee Lisa, and his family's preparations for the wedding. The gnome family busies itself with decorating and preparing for the festivities, meanwhile a family of trolls plan on ruining the wedding for the gnomes. The troll family consists of a dumb troll father, a bossy mother troll who's fond of wearing a snake in her hair and smoking, her two bumbling older sons, and a young troll child affectionately called "Runt".

On the planet Krypton, using evidence provided by scientist Jor-El, the Ruling Council sentences three attempted insurrectionists, General Zod, Ursa, and Non, to "eternal living death" in the Phantom Zone. Norah Dain (Juliet Prowse), a nightclub disc jockey and aspiring actress living alone in a Manhattan apartment, receives a series of obscene phone calls from someone who seems to be watching her on a daily basis. She also finds a decapitated teddy bear in her apartment. At first it is not clear to either the viewer or Norah who is making the calls. A police detective, Lt. Dave Madden (Jan Murray), whose own wife was raped and murdered, takes a personal interest in Norah and her case. Lt. Madden engages in suspicious behavior such as suggesting to Norah several times that he himself could be the caller, secretly tape recording his discussions with Norah, listening to tapes of Norah and other women talking about obscene phone calls, and obsessively studying pornography and the behavior of sex perverts, despite the fact that he is exposing his ten-year-old daughter to such adult concepts and he is being reported to his superiors at work.
