Riccardo Pazzaglia (12 September 1926 – 4 October 2006) was an Italian actor, film director, screenwriter, songwriter (for Domenico Modugno), TV and radio personality.
Born in Naples, Pazzaglia graduated in direction at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. He entered the film industry as assistant director and screenwriter, specializing in adventure and comedy films. Pazzaglia made his directional debut with L'onorata società, starring the comedy duo Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia, who he also directed in Farfallon. After some years of hyatus, Pazzaglia got a personal success thanks to his participation to the Renzo Arbore's variety show Quelli della notte. He later reprised his film activities, collaborating to the screenplays of some films by Luciano De Crescenzo and writing, directing and also starring in his last film, Separati in casa.

Italy, 1700: Franco is the illegitimate son of a pirate died at sea, and now he works as a waiter in a tavern. Ciccio is an unfortunate pirate who tries to bring up his image as that of a great bloody killer. Au XVIe siècle. Nadir El Krim, qui se prétend astrologue, vagabonde de château en château à la recherche de l'homme qui causa autrefois la perte de sa famille. Il réussit à se faire inviter à la cour du baron Alfonso grâce à Angela, la nièce de celui-ci, curieuse d'entendre la bonne aventure. La jeune femme est promise au capitaine de la garde, qu'elle déteste.Déguisé en troubadour, le corsaire Nadir El Krim s'introduit dans le château du baron de Camerlata pour kidnapper la duchesse Catherine. Angela, nièce du baron, fiancée contre son gré à l'ignoble chef des gardes Carmina, prend la place de celle-ci. Sur son bateau, Nadir révèle ; à celle qu'il croît être la Duchesse, qu'il est en réalité Paul de Vallenera et qu'il cherche à se venger de Carmina qui ruina jadis sa famille. Alors que le siège du château se poursuit, le frère de Nadir est tué peu avant que les corsaires arrivent à s'en emparer.

À Brooklyn, des émigrants italiens vivent modestement dans un immeuble où habite également l'avocat Bossi, leur propriétaire, un homme violent et impitoyable. Quand quelqu'un frappe à sa porte pour demander une faveur, Bossi poursuit le visiteur importun en imitant l'aboiement d'un chien furieux. Une vieille femme le maudit un jour d'aboyer toute sa vie jusqu'à ce qu'il trouve quelqu'un qui l'aime. La malédiction est accomplie et Bossi devient un chien errant, affamé et laid. Commence alors pour lui une vie de tristesse, comme ses anciennes victimes. Pendant ce temps, les habitants de l'immeuble, surpris par la disparition de Bossi, respirent mieux sans la pression de payer, avec la complicité du secrétaire de Bossi.
