Richard Earl Cunha est un réalisateur, scénariste et directeur de la photographie américain né le 4 mars 1922 à Honolulu à Hawaï et décédé le 18 septembre 2005 à Oceanside en Californie.
Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Cunha fut photographe aérien dans l'armée américaine puis fut transféré aux Hal Roach Studios à Los Angeles, où il réalisa des films d'entrainement militaire, d'actualités et des documentaires.
Après la guerre, Cunha travailla comme photographe télévisé avant d'être nommé directeur de la photographie sur quelques épisodes des séries télévisées Le Proscrit (1965) et Death Valley Days (1952).

Il est le fils du compositeur/chanteur hawaïen Albert "Sonny" Cunha.Pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Cunha fut photographe aérien dans l'armée américaine puis fut transféré aux Hal Roach Studios à Los Angeles, où il réalisa des films d'entrainement militaire, d'actualités et des documentaires.
Après la guerre, Cunha travailla comme photographe télévisé avant d'être nommé directeur de la photographie sur quelques épisodes des séries télévisées Le Proscrit (1965) et Death Valley Days (1952).

Three robbers, Lylle Corbett (Mitchell), Dolph Kostis (Salter), and Darlene (Mansfield), steal one-million dollars from a shipment on its way to the United States. But, instead of sharing the dough with Lylle, Dolph, decides to kill him, without Darlene (who likes them both), knowing it. When returning to Darlene (his wife), at the Hotel Americano's, Dolph, informs her that Lylle is out of the picture and that she should forget about him. Before Dolph had returned, Darlene, had been visited by the hotel's manager Livio Morelli (Braun), who was there to request her to turn down the volume on her radio. Livio sees a one-thousand dollar bill under the edge of the bed, and quickly knows that they are the robbers; that he had recently heard about on the radio; and that they call themselves "Mr. and Mrs. Smithopolis".

The grandson of Victor Frankenstein, Oliver (Donald Murphy), is hiding away as a laboratory assistant for the gentle Prof. Morton (Felix Locher). While Dr. Morton pursues a pet project, Dr. Frankenstein secretly works his own experiments on his benefactor's niece, Trudy Morton (Sandra Knight). Although these experiments temporarily disfigure Trudy's face and cause her to wander aimlessly at night, they are only a build-up to Oliver's greater goal of recreating life. Two lovers, Wayne Brooks and Janet Cleveland, with the help of scientist Dr. Frederick Cleveland reveal and prove the theory of suspended animation when they find a frozen lizard in a mountain rock. But Dr. Cleveland has another passion: writing a book about Spanish Conquistadors who came to the region. The book targets the history of a legendary giant Conquistador named Vargas whose remains Cleveland and the two lovers search for in an archeological dig containing ancient armor and weapons. Later that night, a lightning strike revives the body of the 500-year-old Vargas, who stalks the three searchers and eventually kills a young woman. Sheriff Parker, the town Sheriff accuses and arrests Wayne for the murder of the young woman because a medallion from the search was found in the girl's hand. But later, it is revealed that Vargas is roaming around the forest causing another brutal death. The local town men, with the help of the three searchers and the sheriff go out to find and kill the giant, which causes more damage and deaths. Wayne finally kills the giant by causing him to fall off a bridge and into a waterfall.
