Shingo Yamashiro (山城 新伍, Yamashiro Shingo, November 10, 1938 – August 12, 2009) was a Japanese television and film actor.

Yamashiro, who was originally from Kyoto, Japan, was born Yasuji Watanabe (渡辺 安治, Watanabe Yasuji), but used Shingo Yamashiro as his stage name. He made his film acting debut in 1957.

Yamashiro starred in the television series Hakuba Dōji ("White Horse Rider"), beginning in 1960. During the 1970s, Yamashiro appeared in a series of yakuza films entitled Jingi Naki Tatakai ("Battles Without Honor and Humanity"). Yamashiro also directed occasionally, helming such films in Nikkatsu's Roman porno series as Female Cats (1983) and Gemini Woman (1984). He starred in several variety shows later in his career.

Yamashiro was admitted to a nursing home in Machida, western Tokyo, for treatment of diabetes. He died of pneumonia at said nursing home on August 12, 2009, at the age of 70.

A small film crew visits the old, abandoned mansion of famous artist Ichirō Mamiya, who left several precious frescos inside his house. The team wants to restore and publish the paintings and film a documentary about Mamiya and his arts. The team includes Kazuo (Shingo Yamashiro), his daughter Emi (Nokko), producer Akiko (Nobuko Miyamoto), photographer Tagushi (Ichiro Furutachi) and art restorer Asuka (Fukumi Kuroda). After they enter the mansion, paranormal events betray the presence of a poltergeist. Soon, Asuka is possessed by the infuriated ghost of Fujin, Ichirō's wife. The team discovers a makeshift grave where a toddler is buried. The boy is Ichirō and Fujin's son, who fell into the house's incinerator one day and burned alive. Since then, Fujin's ghost haunts the mansion, killing any trespassers. In the end, only Kazuo, Emi, and Akiko survive, by reuniting Fujin with her beloved son, and so giving them peace. When Kazuo, Emi, and Akiko leave the mansion, it begins to collapse.

Following the previous film, Shozo Hirono is serving seven years in prison and Akira Takeda was released from prison on a technicality. Takeda then united all the families in the Hiroshima region, shed their yakuza image, and formed the Tensei Coalition political party. In August 1965, Takeda is leader as Chairman, Katsutoshi Otomo is Vice Chairman, Tamotsu Matsumura is Managing Director, Hideo Hayakawa is Secretary General, and Shoichi Eda a Director. Hirono's men get into an altercation with some low-level Tensei members. Elder yakuza Otomo and Hayakawa demand the instigators should have to commit yubitsume, however, after a vote the Coalition agrees to let Matsumura handle discipline on account of wanting to avoid the rituals tied to yakuza for their public image. In 1966, Hirono's friend Terukichi Ichioka has a Tensei financial adviser killed and attends the funeral, angering Otomo who openly vows to take him on. However, Takeda threatens that anyone who responds to the attack will be expelled from Tensei.

In fall 1963, the police crack down on yakuza activities nationwide due to public outcry and in preparation for the upcoming 1964 Summer Olympics. However, the war between the Yamamori family and Shinwa Group versus the Uchimoto, Hirono, and Akashi families wages on. Noburo Uchimoto, Shozo Hirono and Shinichi Iwai recruit Hidemitsu Kawada and Tomoji Okajima, the usually neutral leader of the Gisei Group, to their side. When Masakichi Makihara's men kill a member of Hirono's family he wants to go after Yamamori himself, however retired yakuza and Hirono's adviser Kenichi Okubo stops him. Akira Takeda threatened Okubo to keep Hirono in Kure, as Yamamori has fled to Hiroshima City while Makihara's men stay to fight Hirono's.
