Biography
Sonia is an Indian film actress in Malayalam movies. She debuted, at the age of three, as a child artist in the Malayalam film Ival Oru Naadodi. She continued to appear in many films as a child actor, credited as Baby Sonia. During her childhood she lent her voice for many child artists mainly for Baby Shalini. She got Kerala State Film Award for Best Child artist for the movie Nombarathi Poovu in 1987. She acts in Tamil, Kannada, Telugu movies as well. The film starts with the murder of ex-commissioner by an escaped prisoner Kamal Ekambaram (Riyaz Khan). The story then shifts to Masilamani aka Massu (Suriya) and his friend Jet Li (Premgi Amaren) who are small-time con artists. Massu falls for Manini (Nayantara) and they subsequently fall in love. While trying to escape after a heist gone wrong, Massu and Jet meet with a car accident, post which Massu starts seeing dead people, with whom he can communicate. Jet had died in the accident and is now a ghost, too. Massu forms a group of loitering ghosts to earn money by performing fake exorcisms and extorting money from scared rich people, while promising the ghosts that he would fulfill their last wishes in return. Meanwhile, Manini who thought Massu was working in a finance company gets to know about the fake exorcisms and leaves him in a heist.

Shakthi(Jayam Ravi) and Chinnasamy(Soori) are family enemies who fight over an election. During that time, Shakthi falls in love with Anjali, whom he later discovers is his enemies cousin. When their love rapidly heats up, Shakthi is forced to marry Divya(Trisha), a city girl. Before starting a life together, Divya tells Shakthi, they must get to know each other, but every time Shakthi tries to do something good, it ends bad. This leads them on a plan for divorce. In exchange, Shakthi tells Divya to agree and stay for a month with his parents so they won't get hurt over the fact that they made Shakthi marry someone who doesn't even like him. To make this worse, Shakthi's father gets Divya to stand for the female election to which she quietly agrees. When she loses in the family generation winning election, Shakthi's father angrily hits him. . That's when Shakthi reveals how he lost in love and life. Seeing how much he loves and respects his family and how his life has been, Divya slowly starts to like her husband. At the end Divya and Shakthi happily live together while they argue over little things; making their life filled with love.

The movie follows Ananthan (Tini Tom), a 36-year-old police constable who has experienced multiple failures at trying to find a woman to marry. Manu Varma (Dileep) lands in Bombay to join an IT firm Quadra Infortek as executive assistant to C.M.O Priya.S. Nair (Mamta Mohandas). He has a B Tech degree and passed with distinction in 2004 but has no work experience until 2013. Priya is shocked seeing his reports and his distinction and asks why chose this job and he says it's because of family problems. Manu's boss Priya is a witch of a woman, an Australian citizen. Kambilikkandam Jose (Subair), a drug baron reaches down to Kochi to meet Pattakkalil Purushothaman Pillai (Vijayaraghavan), demanding a huge hike in his commission. Popularly known as Appichai, Purushothaman Pillai is one of the largest drug dealer in south India, along with Sethumadhavan (Sai Kumar), his foster son. Appichai calls back Sethu, who is on a vacation in a cruise ship in Goa. Sethu, on his arrival back in Kochi kills Jose, with the help of Balagopal (Ramu), the IG of Police. But the death of Jose creates a strong protest inside the state and the Chief Minister (Janardhanan) orders a detailed investigation on the matter. Narendran (Mammootty), the Assistant Commissioner of police, is assigned the charge of investigation. Popularly known as Nari (tiger), for his aggressive and belligerent style of behavior, Narendran, begins his probe by questioning Dr. Ratnakumari (Urmila Unni), the assistant surgeon, who conducted the postmortem of Jose. Nari finds out marks of physical assault on his face, which was not mentioned in the report. He reaches our to the family of Jose, who, on the next day is found dead in the suburbs of the city. Sethumadhavan, who also holds an illegal business partnership with the son of the state chief minister, is one of the most influential businessman in the country. Under the pretext of Karunyadeepam, a spiritual ashram, under Rema Bai/Rema Behan (Prabha Dutt), Sethu runs a vast drug network along South India. Narendran, through his strong and sharp methods reaches out to Rema Behan, who on the next day is found dead in her sleep. On his path, Narendran finds several obstacles including the son of the CM and several senior police officers and in the end, the CM itself, who decides to withdraw Narendram from the charge of investigation. How Nari over comes the pressures and finishes off the evil forces including Sethumadhavan and brings justice at the end, forms the rest of the story.
