Stephen Graham (born 3 August 1973) is an English actor who is best known for his roles as Tommy in the film Snatch, Andrew "Combo" Gascoigne in This Is England as well as its television sequels, This Is England '86, This Is England '88 and This Is England '90, Danny Ferguson in Occupation, Billy Bremner in The Damned United, notorious bank robber Baby Face Nelson in Public Enemies (2009), Scrum in the Pirates of the Caribbean films and a crooked police detective in the acclaimed crime thriller Hyena. From 2010 to 2014, he starred as Al Capone in the HBO series Boardwalk Empire.
Il obtient son premier grand rôle dans Snatch, aux côtés de Jason Statham, en 2000. L'année suivante, il intègre ensuite la distribution de Frères d'armes où il ne joue que le temps d'un épisode. En 2002, il joue sous la direction de Martin Scorsese dans Gangs of New York.
Son interprétation d'un skinhead rempli de haine dans This Is England, en 2006, est remarquée. Stephen Graham est né à Kirkby, près de Liverpool dans le Merseyside, d'un père travailleur social et d'une mère infirmière. Il intègre le Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama à Londres. Il y apprend notamment à maîtriser différents accents, comme l'accent cockney (Snatch) ou l'accent américain (Public Enemies ou Boardwalk Empire).Il obtient son premier grand rôle dans Snatch, aux côtés de Jason Statham, en 2000.
