Biography
He is the eldest son to actor Karamana Janardanan Nair and Jaya, at Karamana, Thiruvananthapuram. He has two brothers Sunil and Sujay. He had his primary education from Kendriya Vidyalaya Pattom, post-graduation in Geography from Trivandrum University College and B.Ed from Government College of Teacher Education, Kerala University, Thiruvananthapuram. After post graduation he worked at Centre for Earth Science Studies, Thiruvananthapuram. Then he worked as a teacher at Christ Nagar School, Thiruvananthapuram and M.E.S Indian school, Qatar in 1993. Later in 1998 he returned from Qatar to join at Govt Girl's Higher Secondary School, Venganoor as a teacher. In 2003 he became the principal there. He has been the Principal of Govt Girl's Higher Secondary School, Venganoor, Thiruvananthapuram for 13 years.He is married to a school teacher at Sasthamangalam Higher Secondary School. The couple has a son and a daughter. He is settled at Thiruvananthapuram with his family.

Hareendranath Nair (Prithviraj) is an Indian soldier guarding an Indian picket in Kashmir. He happens to meet a Pakistani soldier Mushraff (Javed Jaffrey) on one fine day. They immediately relate to each other and despite of being from different countries they seem to understand each other better than anyone else. They eventually become close friends and start to enhance the morale of each other. However, their friendship raises suspicions among others. They even put into question the genuineness of their patriotism which break their heart. They find themselves in nether world and the story proceeds to tell the hardship they have to go through for their friendship. It is not just with the Pakistani soldier he shares special bond, he also considers a dog by the name Baccardi as his companion. He even does not permit anyone to call him dog. He confides in the dog his inner thoughts and emotions which lifts his spirit slightly even at the most difficult times.

Kunjiraman (Vineeth Sreenivasan), nephew of Well-done Vasu(Mamukkoya), plans to marry his daughter Thankamani. All plans are thwarted by his dim-witted cousin brother Laalu (Dhyan Sreenivasan). To avenge this he goes to Gulf to make money and returns to his hometown Desam. He plans to marry well and before that of Vasu's daughter wedding. Laalu (Dhyan Sreenivasan) secretly plots against Kunjiraman with Kuttan (Aju Varghese), his role model. Kunjiraman gets engaged to other women but all end up in cancellations. Villagers superstitiously believe that it was Kunjiraman's actions that brings the subsequent problems and curses to Desam. Later the issues are solved by a chain of events. Both Laalu and Kuttan are left to the short end of stick with their plotting's.

The story is set in 1988. Haider (Indrajith) who works for Mumbai underworld develops a plan to steal diamonds from a racket run inside a textile store in Cherupuzha.
