Takashi Sorimachi (反町 隆史, Sorimachi Takashi, born December 19, 1973) is a Japanese actor and singer. He is mostly famous for having portrayed Eikichi Onizuka in the 1998 live-action drama adaptation of the popular manga series Great Teacher Onizuka, and the assassin O in Hong Kong action film Fulltime Killer.

While he mainly works as an actor, he has released many singles and albums over the years. On February 21, 2001, he married actress Nanako Matsushima who he co-starred with in Great Teacher Onizuka. On May 31, 2004, his wife gave birth to a baby girl. The couple had a second daughter on November 30, 2007 .

In 2005 he starred in the movie Otoko-tachi no Yamato.

Biography

Sorimachi débute dans les années 1980 comme danseur et musicien figurant pour différents boys bands. Il a ensuite été mannequin, notamment pour Benetton.

En 1997, il obtient son premier rôle principal à la télévision dans Virgin Road. Tout en jouant dans la série Beach Boys en 1997, il commence une carrière musicale personnelle en interprétant la musique.

Le succès est conforté avec Great Teacher Onizuka en 1998 : le dernier des douze épisodes est alors le programme télévisé le plus regardé de l'histoire du Japon. Sorimachi interprète d'ailleurs Poison, la chanson du générique de GTO.

Après leur rencontre pendant le tournage de GTO, Sorimachi s'est marié avec l'actrice Nanako Matsushima, union dont sont nées deux filles (l'une en juin 2004 et l'autre en novembre 2007).

Son dernier film est Les Hommes du Yamato (2005) ; le prochain sera Aoki ookami - Chi hate umi tsukiru made où il interprétera Gengis Khan.

En 2017, il est à l'affiche du film Partners : The Movie IV.

The films starts with young Ichi's wife (Satomi Ishihara) being murdered by Toraji (Sosuke Takaoka), the cowardly art loving son of a yakuza boss. Following her death, Ichi (Shingo Katori) returns to his hometown, where he hopes to resume a normal life under the guise of farmer with his friend Ryuji (Takashi Sorimachi). However, the same group of yakuza plan to change Ichi's hometown into a harbor, and start exploiting local peasants for money. Ryuji's land deeds are taken and ransomed at a high price, so Ichi uses his gambling skills to win the money for the deeds. This unveils his identity as the infamous Zato Ichi which the Yakuza don't like and burn down the house. The villagers draft a Tanran scroll to present to a passing official asking for assistance. However having Zato Ichi, a wanted criminal, in the village would not work in their favor so they devise a plan to dispose of him. They give him a blank scroll to "deliver" to the officials and lead him on a dangerous path sending the yakuza after him. However, he realizes it is the wrong path and makes it to the officials. His betrayal is revealed when he shows the blank scroll to the officials and they are insulted and leave. Ichi takes the responsibility of getting rid of the yakuza on himself, going to the yakuza headquarters and killing the boss. However he is shot by Toraji and stabbed by one of the Yakuza minions. Crawling on hands and feet he goes to the beach where he presumably dies reuniting with his wife in the next life.

Temujin (Sorimachi Takashi) is born the son of the chief of a Mongolian tribe, and grows up as the one who carries the blood of “blue wolf”. When he is grown up, he marries Borte (Kikukawa Rei), but one night, she is taken away by another tribe. When Temujin rescues her, she is pregnant, and a boy is born not long thereafter. The film begins with footage from Asahi Shimbun's special expedition to the Yamato wreckage in 1999, then to a woman, Makiko Uchida, visiting the Yamato Museum in Kure, Hiroshima on 6 April 2005. She is looking for a boat to take her to the site where the Yamato sank, to honor the crew on the 60th anniversary of the ship's last battle. Katsumi Kamio, a survivor who is now a fisherman, agrees to take her after he discovers she was an adopted daughter of Petty Officer First Class Mamoru Uchida, a crewman and close friend who he thought went down with the ship.

The year is 1977. A young woman wanders barefoot in the lush Aokigahara (青木ヶ原), also known as the Sea of Trees (樹海 Jukai) region of Mt. Fuji, and suddenly falls into an underground cavern. When she comes to her senses, she discovers that she is in an icy cave full of large eggs. To her horror, one of the eggs begins hatching, revealing a large yellow eye within. She goes into hysterics, runs for her life, and is eventually discovered by a construction crew. Though she goes into a coma, the girl apparently managed to babble about what she saw to a reporter.
