Terry Camilleri (born 1949) is a Maltese-born Australian actor, who has also worked variously overseas in the United Kingdom and the United States


Camilleri was born in Malta, and made his feature picture film debut in Peter Weir's 1974 film The Cars That Ate Paris. Terry appeared in the 1983 hit sequel film Superman III. He portrayed the Emperor Napoleon I in the 1989 film Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. He also made a cameo appearance in Weir's The Truman Show.

Other appearances include as Special Branch police officer Hemmings in the science fiction film Incident at Raven's Gate.

In 2003 he appeared in the American film Hey DJ.

In 2006, as part of the World Cup campaign in Australia, Camilleri played the character of "History", an 800-year-old orc-like creature for the Nike "Stuff History" advertisements. Which is part of Nike's soccer Joga Bonito adverts.

In 2009 Camilleri appeared in the science fiction-thriller film Knowing directed by Alex Proyas.

In 2015, Camilleri co-starred in the family film Oddball.

In 1959, student Lucinda Embry (Lara Robinson) hears whispers as she stares at the sun. When her class is chosen to contribute to the school's time capsule, each child is asked to draw what they believe the future will look like. Lucinda writes a page of seemingly random numbers and adds it to her elementary school's time capsule, which is set to be opened in 50 years. Lucinda's teacher calls for the pupils to finish but Lucinda continues before her teacher takes it off her desk unfinished. Lucinda then goes missing after the time capsule is dedicated, and is found by her teacher, Mrs. Taylor (Danielle Carter), in a utility closet scratching numbers into the door with her fingernails bleeding.

Coffin Rock is a story about a married couple who are trying to start a family without any success. Rob, the husband, is reluctant to seek medical help, which leaves Jessie, his wife, frustrated at being childless. After a drunken night at a bar with her friend, Jessie returns home upset to find a drifter, Evan, is there with a baby kangaroo. This stirs emotions in Jessie, and she turns her affections towards him in a moment of unhappiness. This one time encounter results in brief sex. Though she asks him to stop midway, he continues on.

Larry Gigli (Ben Affleck) is a low-ranking Los Angeles mobster who isn't nearly as tough as he likes to act. On a farming property called Raven's Gate, enthusiastic hydroponicist Richard Cleary (Ritchie Singer) is trying innovative farming practices. He is also trying to accommodate his brother Eddie (Steven Vidler), newly out of gaol and more interested in Richard's wife Rachel (Celine Griffin) than in working on the property. Strange events on the property and a minor crime in the town attract policeman Taylor (Max Cullen) and Special Branch investigator Cummings (Terry Camilleri). Eddie has the misfortune to also cross local cop Skinner (Vincent Gil), by dating the target of his affections, barmaid Annie (Saturday Rosenberg). Tensions in personal relationships and mysterious events (bird kills, disappearing water supplies) build to a climax that sees Raven's Gate assaulted by an alien force, and a number of deaths amongst the protagonists. The film closes with the stunned survivors Eddie and Rachel standing outside Raven's Gate homestead, newly restored by Special Branch, and the soundtrack playing the Easybeats song Friday on My Mind.

The film opens with an American engineer named Harry Burck (Mark Harmon) being kidnapped by rebels in Colombia. Harry is there to help open a new water pipeline for his company and gets caught up in the action when a diplomat who is on hand for the pipe's unveiling is also kidnapped. Word reaches back to Harry's brother Corey (Michael Schoeffling) and his friends Bob (Thomas F. Wilson), cocaine addict Spence (Glenn Frey) and Kurt (Rick Rossovich), who were all awaiting his return home to Illinois. The men, who all work together at the same factory, learn that Harry was kidnapped by a drug lord named Carlos Ochobar. Corey and Bob travel to Washington, DC only to learn that the U.S. government is not going to mount any rescue attempt for Harry. We learn that the men (and everyone in the town) hold Harry in high regard. Kurt reminds his friends that they all owe Harry something, so he says their only choice is to rescue him themselves. Despite some resistance and skepticism from Kurt and Spence, all the men eventually agree to go. Before heading to Colombia, they enlist the financial help of a local car salesman named Jack (Gary Busey), who insists on going along, and the military expertise of a decorated no-nonsense mercenary named Norman Shrike (Robert Duvall).
