Biography

Todd Boekelheide commence dans l'industrie du cinéma en entrant chez American Zoetrope en 1974. Deux ans plus tard, il quitte la société de Francis Ford Coppola pour travailler comme assistant monteur sur Star Wars, et plus tard comme monteur (son et image) sur L'Étalon noir. Ce dernier film le fait s'intéresser à la musique de film, et il commence des études de musique au Mills College à Oakland. En même temps que commence sa carrière de compositeur de musique de film, il se spécialise dans le mixage son, ce qui lui vaut un Oscar pour Amadeus.

Cousteau is narrating about the ocean. As he starts talking about coral reefs, Dory starts bothering him by entering the frame. The scene then cuts to an anemone that Nemo and Marlin come out of and Cousteau sighs for not being able to do his documentary. The scene cuts to real Cuttlefishes, which Dory tries to speak to. When Cousteau tells Dory to stop it, the scene cuts to a live Spanish dancer. This makes Marlin think of dancing and soon all three animated fish are dancing to some music. This infuriates Cousteau so much that he yells "Stop!" and proceeds to make a quick rant about the water cycle, concluding that "Everyone, everywhere, affects the ocean!". Dory expresses amazement and at first, Cousteau is satisfied, but when it is revealed that she was listening to the Echo inside a Conch shell, Cousteau loses his temper and starts ranting in French. For a few seconds, a cartoon still image of Cousteau appears while Musak-style music plays, on a title card which reads "Please Stand By.

Recently divorced Meg Altman (Foster) and her 11-year-old daughter Sarah (Stewart) have just purchased a four-story brownstone on the Upper West Side of New York City. The house's previous owner, a reclusive millionaire, installed an isolated room used to protect the house's occupants from intruders. The "panic room" is protected by concrete and steel on all sides, a thick steel door, and an extensive security system with multiple surveillance cameras, a public announcement system, and a separate phone line. On the night the two move into the home, it is broken into by Junior (Leto), the previous owner's grandson; Burnham (Whitaker), an employee of the residence's security company; and Raoul (Yoakam), a ski mask-wearing gunman recruited by Junior. The three are after $3 million in bearer bonds, which are locked inside a floor safe in the panic room.

The unnamed narrator (Edward Norton) is a traveling automobile company employee who suffers from insomnia.
