Tomomi Itano (板野 友美, Itano Tomomi, born July 3, 1991 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture) is a Japanese actress and singer. She is a former member of the Japanese idol girl group AKB48. Her talent agent is Horipro. In 2011 with a single titled "Dear J" and followed by "Fui ni", "10nen Go no Kimi e" and "1%".

Biography

In 2005, she joined the all-female Japanese idol group AKB48. After becoming a model for the popular woman's fashion magazine Cawaii!, she released her first photo book titled T.O.M.O.row in April 2009. In early 2010 she played Shibuya in the AKB48 TV Tokyo dorama "Majisuka Gakuen". She had a recurring role on Kamen Rider W as Queen, alongside fellow AKB48 performer Tomomi Kasai, until the show ended in late 2010. Together, they made up the sub-unit Queen & Elizabeth.

Itano ranked 4th place in the second AKB48 Senbatsu election (June 2010).

Itano also appears individually in television commercials and was cited as the "queen of TV commercials" (CM joō) for 2012 for having more contracts with companies to appear in their ads than any other female tarento (she was tied at 20 with fellow AKB48 member Mariko Shinoda).


2011 activities
She released her first single, "Dear J", on January 26. It reached number 1 on the Oricon daily ranking and number 2 on the Oricon weekly ranking, selling 204,981 copies. In April, she returned to her role as Shibuya in the Majisuka Gakuen sequel, Majisuka Gakuen 2. Her first digital single "Wanna Be Now" ranked number 2 on the daily Recochoku charts and number 6 on the weekly charts.

Itano ranked 8th place in the third AKB48 Senbatsu election (June 9, 2011). Her second single, "Fui ni", was released on July 13 and sold 90,103 copies, ranking number 1 on the weekly charts.


2013 activities
On February 1, 2013, Itano announced about her intention to leave the group sometime within the year 2013, during a stage greeting for the film Documentary of AKB48: No Flower Without Rain Shojo Tachi wa Namida no Ato ni Nani o Miru?, which was released from that day.

Itano's fourth solo single, "1%", is scheduled to be released on June 12, 2013. The main song will be used as the theme for "Samantha Vega" TV commercials. The music video was shot in New York, and includes an appearance by the American actress and model Taylor Momsen.

After picking up the T2 Gaia Memories from fellow Foundation X agent Jun Kazu, Tabata leaves Futo via an Apache helicopter to his group's base of operations. Unbeknownst to him, he is being tailed by a Hercules cargo plane before a young man leaps out of it and into the helicopter. The man takes the briefcase and uses the T2 Gaia Memory with the letter E to transform into a caped Kamen Rider as Tabata activates the suitcase's self-destruction function. Surviving the blast as it causes the helicopter to explode, the rider lands back in cargo plane where his accomplices are waiting as the other 25 T2 Gaia Memories to rain down on Futo. They head off to find the Gaia Memories as their leader intends to turn the city into hell on Earth.

Movie War 2010 is split into three parts. The Kamen Rider Decade portion of the film, written by Shoji Yonemura, is titled Kamen Rider Decade: The Last Story (仮面ライダーディケイド~完結編~, Kamen Raidā Dikeido ~Kanketsuhen~). It follows the series cliffhanger ending at the climax of the Rider War. The film is billed as the "True Ending" (本当の終わり, Hontō no Owari) and was originally subtitled Decade vs. All Riders (ディケイド対オールライダー, Dikeido tai Ōru Raidā).
