Tullio Carminati (1894–1971) was an Italian actor noted for roles in The Cardinal, One Night of Love, Music in the Air and El Cid. He also appeared in the movie Roman Holiday.
At the age of 14, he toured America with his own company. He made his film debut in Italy, and was discovered by Joseph Schenck and taken to America in 1925. He also appeared on the British screen. Some films were Paris Love Song, Let's Live Tonight, London Melody and Sunset in Vienna.

Tullio Carminati débute au cinéma en 1914, participant à plusieurs films muets italiens jusqu'en 1924, année où il joue dans un film allemand, avant de s'établir un temps aux États-Unis, à Hollywood. Exception faite de la version italienne d'un film franco-italien en 1934, il apparaît exclusivement dans des films américains entre 1926 et 1940. Puis, malgré la Seconde Guerre mondiale, il revient s'installer en Italie et, de 1943 à 1963 (année de son dernier film), alterne les films italiens, américains, ou coproductions (dont deux films franco-italiens en 1948 et 1950), sans omettre un film espagnol en 1955 — voir filmographie ci-dessous —.En outre, entre 1929 et 1938, donc durant son séjour aux États-Unis, il joue au théâtre, à Broadway, dans deux pièces et deux comédies musicales (étant chanteur occasionnellement).

A musical with a trial. One of several Anna Neagle - Tullio Carminati vehicles of the 1930s, London Melody was one of five films directed in 1937 by Neagle's future husband, Herbert Wilcox. This time around, Carminatti is cast as Marius Andreani, a cultured Italian diplomat. While in London on business, Marius makes the chance acquaintance of boisterous cockney street entertainer Jacqueline (Neagle). It's love at first sight, but hero and heroine must undergo a dizzying series of roadblocks and misunderstandings before the climactic clinch. Meanwhile, Jacqueline rises to the top of show-business success, never dreaming (until the end, at least) that it's all the secret handiwork of faithful Marius.
