Best Actress nominee at the Monte Carlo Television Festival (Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo) 2010, she has featured in movies alongside Rita Dominic, Jim Iyke, Oge Okoye, Chioma Chukwuka, Zack Orji among others. She is also a former beauty queen, having represented Nigeria at the Miss Earth 2004 International beauty pageant in the Philippines.
On 10 October 2012, they welcomed a baby boy named Isio Jared McDermott.
