Vanessa Marcil (/mɑrˈsɛl/ mar-SEL; born Sally Vanessa Ortiz; October 15, 1968) is an American actress. She is best known for her roles as Brenda Barrett on General Hospital, Gina Kincaid on Beverly Hills, 90210 and Sam Marquez on Las Vegas.
Marcil and her former Beverly Hills, 90210 cast-mate Brian Austin Green have a son, Kassius Lijah, born in March 2002. Marcil married actor Carmine Giovinazzo on July 11, 2010 in a private ceremony in New York City. In June 2011 the couple announced they were expecting their first child together, however, Marcil suffered a miscarriage, her second that year. Marcil filed for divorce in August 2012 on the basis of irreconcilable differences. The divorce was final in March 2013.

After the passing of their mother three years prior, Ben and Emily have driven their father David crazy by going through one nanny after another. The film shows a life of a young girl, Kate, who looks after her dad. She is looking for work and Beverly Hills offers her a job as a nanny for David’s family. The children take an immediate dislike to her as she is “just another maid.” After all the incidents she takes it surprisingly well yet the kids expect her to leave. After a while of shenanigans her and Ben become friends yet Emily keeps her distance. Eventually, David reveals to Kate that his wife was hit and killed by a drunk driver.
