Biography
Né à Manhattan, New York, William Redfield fait ses débuts à Broadway en 1938. Il fait partie du groupe fondateur de l'Actors Studio. Il joue dans les pièces A Man for All Seasons, Hamlet, You Know I Can't Hear You When the Water's Running, et Dude. Par la suite il fait carrière au cinéma.Un de ses rôles les plus remarqués est celui de Dale Harding dans Vol au-dessus d'un nid de coucou.
