Marnie, has just spent two years with her grandma Aggie. While hosting a mortal neighborhood Halloween party, Marnie tries to impress a cute new boy, Kal by showing him Aggie's magically-hidden room. Unbeknownst to Marnie, Kal is actually the son of Kalabar and takes the opportunity to steal Aggie's spellbook. Soon Aggie notices unwelcome magical symptoms. She and Marnie travel to Halloweentown to investigate and fix the problem before the portal between Halloweentown and the mortal world, open only on Halloween, closes at midnight. They discover that the whole town has been turned into a made-to-match (black and white) (silent film), and that the inhabitants have been turned into humans (or rather, into what Halloweentownians see as humans being: dreary and monotonous beings concerned only with such things as sensible dress or sorting socks). The victims include Marnie's goblin friend Luke. Aggie diagnoses this as the "Grey Spell." Aggie contacts grandson Dylan back home for a spell from her book, and Dylan and Sophie discover the book is missing. Marnie and Aggie learn that Kal is actually a Magician, (warlock) and the son of their enemy Kalabar (from the previous movie) Kal broke the Code of Merlin, a way of life for magical beings by stealing Aggie's book to limit her ability to hinder his attempt to complete his father's revenge on both Halloweentown and the mortal world. Aggie believes that if he is willing to go that far, then there is nothing that they can put past him. Aggie searches for her spare copy of her spellbook at her house in Halloweentown, but it is missing and she despairs.

Maria Owens, a young witch, is exiled to Maria's Island in Massachusetts with her unborn child for escaping her execution. In the land of Prydain, Taran is an "assistant pig-keeper" on the small farm of Caer Dallben, home of Dallben the Enchanter. Dallben learns that the Horned King is searching for a mystical relic known as the Black Cauldron, which is capable of creating an invincible army of undead warriors, the “Cauldron Born”. Dallben fears the Horned King may try to steal his pig Hen Wen, which has oracular powers, and use her to locate the cauldron. They encounter the flying monkey Finley, who pledges a life debt to Oscar when he saves him from a lion. Oscar reveals his deception to Finley along the way, forcing him to help maintain the lie that he is the 'Wizard', much to Finley's irritation.

L'histoire commence à Naples en 1700. Totò Sapore est un jeune garçon pauvre qui, pour gagner sa vie, chante en s'accompagnant à la guitare. Mais Totò rêve surtout de devenir un grand cuisinier. Grâce à ces outils, Totò entame une carrière de cuisinier qui le conduit à être cuisinier pour le roi de Naples. Là, il affronte la concurrence acharnée du cuisinier français Mestolon, et tombe amoureux d'une jeune fille, Confiance, qui n'est autre que la fille de Mestolon. Totò doit également affronter la concurrence de la Strega Vesuvia et de son complice Vincenzone. Elle hait Totò et tous les Napolitains à cause de leur insupportable bonne humeur, et elle se met en tête de déclencher une guerre entre la France et Naples.

During a party at Alfea, the Trix crash it and take the Compass of Revealed Secrets for the Ancestrial Witches. Despite the Winx's efforts, Icy, Stormy and Darcy escape with the compass. Meanwhile on Domino, Sky proposes to Bloom, but a secret between King Erendor and the destruction of Domino forces Sky to call off the wedding. The rest of the Winx visit Bloom, who is struggling to get over it. The Trix report to the Ancestrial Witches on the sucsessful thef, and head to the Tree of Life in Pixie Village to destroy all good. On Domino, King Oritel puts Bloom to a showcase of princes to see who she will marry. Sky sneaks in and meets Bloom, saying that he'll fix everything. He is soon discovered by an angry King Oritel. He gives Bloom a letter before being forced to leave. Bloom protests but is overruled by her father. An angry Bloom transports to Gardinia with the Winx. The Trix arrive at Pixie Village, and take over the Tree of Life. This eliminates all good powers, along with the Winx's Believix. Powerless in Gardinia, the Winx turn to Bloom's adoptive parents Mike and Vanessa for shelter. They meet up with the specialists. Meanwhile, the Ancestrial Witches learn that there is one tiny source of positive energy left in the universe, they remember giving King Erendor an hourglass with the tree's pollin, protecting Eraklyon when the Witches destroyed Domino. In Gardinia, the Winx meet the specialists, and travel to Avram, the city with the last known sighting of the pollin. The Trix find Erendor, forcing him to give them the wherabouts of the pollin.

Count Christian von Meruh (Udo Kier) is a witch hunter and apprentice to Lord Cumberland (Herbert Lom) in early 18th-century Austria. He believes strongly in his mentor and the ways of the church but loses faith when he catches Cumberland strangling a man to death for calling him impotent. Von Meruh begins to see for himself that the witch trials are nothing but a scam of the church to rob people of their land, money, and other personal belongings of value and seduce beautiful women. Eventually, the townspeople revolt, and Cumberland escapes but von Meruh is captured by the townspeople. This film contains very strong graphic torture including a women's tongue being ripped out of her head, nuns being raped, and multitudes of beatings.
