Aspiring yakuza Kensuke Hagane (Tsuyoshi Ujiki) is killed by gang violence along his idol and Yakuza boss Tosa (Takeshi Caesar). Their corpses wind up in the hands of a scientist, who manages to keep Kensuke alive by replacing much of his body with cyborg pieces and some parts of Tosa, making him bulletproof and super strong. Kensuke then escapes from the scientist and searches for those responsible to get revenge.

The film moves at a deliberate pace and devotes much time to exploring their relationship. Nishi has also borrowed money from the Yakuza to pay for his wife's needs, and is having difficulty repaying them. Meanwhile, Horibe takes up painting and creates works of art that are surrealistic.

Noriyuki Kunihiro vient de purger une longue peine pour meurtres. À sa sortie, il retrouve son ami Naoto Tonigawa, du clan Myojin. Alors qu'il attend dans la voiture deux yakuzas du clan partis récolter une dette, il apprend par Myojin qu'ils sont séquestrés. Kuni monte dans le bureau et réussit à sous-tirer l'argent dû par le clan rival. Myojin, stupéfait, décide alors de faire de Kuni le bras droit de Naoto Tonigawa. Dans un bar d'escort-girls, alors qu'il célèbre cette promotion, Kuni jette son dévolu sur la jeune pianiste Asako, avec qui il va passer la nuit. Le lendemain matin, celle-ci lui demande un revolver afin de tuer Akira Fujima, l'amant de sa petite sœur. Mais elle lui cache que celui-ci est en fait son ancien amant, qu'il détient des photos compromettantes, et surtout, qu'il est le petit frère du chef du clan Sato.

The film begins with the main character, Yuuji, being fired from his yakuza syndicate. Soon he finds work for another boss solely as a pay-per-hit assassin, killing members of other syndicates. His life starts to become more complicated when an ex-girlfriend or hooker drops his son off at his house. His son, who is mute, begins to follow him, where the boy watches him shoot a man who is having lunch with his wife and infant son. Afterward, the boy follows Yuuji to a whorehouse where he waits outside. While waiting, he eats food from the garbage and befriends a puppy who is chained in the alley.

Sawaki (Shin'ichi Tsutsumi) is a postman. He has an old friend Noguchi (Keisuke Horibe) who, unknown to him, had become a yakuza. Noguchi was being spied by the police for a long time. One day Sawaki delivers a letter to him and stays at his place for a while. During his stay Noguchi puts a package of drugs into Sawaki's letter bag. His finger, which he cut off as a symbol of loyalty to his gang, also accidentally falls into the bag. Viewing his relationship with Noguchi, the police think that Sawaki is a member of the yakuza and follow him. On reaching home, Sawaki finds a suicide note in his bag written by a cancer patient to her aunt. He rushes to the hospital to see the girl Kyoko (Kyoko Toyama) and falls in love with her. He meets a hit man Joe (Ren Osugi) there who tells him how he had won the contract killing competition called the "Killer of killers". The police profiler (Tomoro Taguchi), who was following Sawaki, comes to the conclusion that Sawaki is a member of the criminal gang. Meanwhile, Naguchi discovers that the finger he had cut was no longer in his house. All this marked the beginning of problems for Sawaki.
