Cédric Kahn (born 17 June 1966) is a French screenwriter, film director and actor. His films include L'Ennui (1998), from the Alberto Moravia novel Boredom and Red Lights (2004), from the Georges Simenon novel. His film Roberto Succo was entered into the 2001 Cannes Film Festival.
Lors du Festival de Berlin 2018, son film La Prière est en compétition pour l'Ours d'or. Son interprète principal, Anthony Bajon, remporte l'Ours d'argent du meilleur acteur.
En 2019 sort son film Fête de famille avec Catherine Deneuve, Vincent Macaigne et Emmanuelle Bercot.

Biography
Né d'un père architecte et d'une mère pharmacienne, Cédric Kahn grandit dans la Drôme. Peu passionné pour les études traditionnelles, il manifeste dès son adolescence une vive passion pour le cinéma, animant avec plusieurs jeunes gens de son lycée de Crest une émission radiodiffusée de critique de films. Il monte à la capitale dès l'obtention de son baccalauréat, et parvient en quelques années à se frayer un chemin dans le milieu du cinéma. Il est même l'assistant du monteur Yann Dedet sur le film de Maurice Pialat, Sous le soleil de Satan, palme d'or au festival de Cannes 1987.Lors du Festival de Berlin 2018, son film La Prière est en compétition pour l'Ours d'or. Son interprète principal, Anthony Bajon, remporte l'Ours d'argent du meilleur acteur.
En 2019 sort son film Fête de famille avec Catherine Deneuve, Vincent Macaigne et Emmanuelle Bercot.

Yann (Guillaume Canet) and Nadia (Leïla Bekhti) fall in love. Nadia has acquired a crumbling building in a Paris suburb and the couple decide to renovate it to launch a restaurant. But things turn upside down, high financing costs make things difficult, and Nadia, has to accept a temporary work opportunity in Montreal to pitch in with extra money. She has to leave her son Slimane (Slimane Khettabi) to Yann. Things get even worse when Nadia disappears without a trace.
