Marley Eve Shelton (born April 12, 1974) is an American film and television actress. Since Shelton made her professional acting debut in 1991, she has starred in a variety of film genres, including several commercial and studio features, indie and art house films.
Shelton officially started her professional acting career in 1991 with a brief appearance in the drama Grand Canyon, which was followed by roles in motion pictures such as The Sandlot (1993), Nixon (1995), Warriors of Virtue, and Trojan War (1997). She had a supporting part in Pleasantville (1998) and starred in the black comedy Sugar & Spice and the horror film Valentine in 2001; later, she found recognition after appearing in the neo-noir thriller Sin City (2005) and the double feature Grindhouse (2007). Other notable movies include Never Been Kissed (1999), Bubble Boy (2001), Don't Come Knocking (2005), American Dreamz (2006) and W. (2008).
Shelton portrayed the main character in the CBS television show Eleventh Hour, which run for one season from 2008 to 2009. She then focused on smaller-scale and independent projects such as (Untitled) (2009), Elektra Luxx (2010), and The Mighty Macs (2011), before appearing in the slasher sequel Scream 4 (2011). She had a part in the indie drama Decoding Annie Parker (2014) and returned to television in the short-lived Lifetime show The Lottery. She recently filmed Solace, slated to be released theatrically in late 2015.
Shelton met film producer Beau Flynn on the set of Bubble Boy in 2000 and married him in July 2001. Their first daughter, West Flynn, was born on September 6, 2009. She later recalled in an interview that they had chosen the name much before their child was born: “My husband actually dreamed seven years ago that we had a daughter, and he was calling her West. I immediately said, 'If we ever have a daughter, we’re definitely naming her that'". Ruby Jeanne, their second daughter, was born on May 1, 2012. When she is not acting, Shelton enjoys travelling, and has visited countries throughout Asia, South America and Africa. She also practices a regimen of yoga and pilates.
On April 30, 2010, Shelton was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. She was released the next day after posting $5,000 bond. On May 21, 2010, Shelton pleaded no contest and was sentenced to two years probation and fined $240 plus penalties.

Biography
She dated actor Nicholas Brendon during her time in school. He was her prom date and bought Shelton 100 roses, wore a tux and drove a black convertible Mustang to impress her. She reportedly said later that he "totally did it right". High school student Brad (Friedle) has had an unrequited crush on a classmate named Brooke (Marley Shelton) for years. After she asks him to come over one night to tutor her, she ends up wanting to have sex with him. But she only wants safe sex, and he does not have a condom (the use of Trojan in the title is a pun on the condom brand of the same name). In his quest to buy some condoms, he runs into all sorts of trouble; his dad's Jaguar gets stolen and then wrecked, he has a run-in with a crazy bus driver (Anthony Michael Hall), he is held hostage, he is pursued by a school janitor (Paulo Tocha) who accuses him of drawing graffiti, an odd pair of hispanic siblings (Christine Deaver and Mike Moroff) who thinks he looks like David Hasselhoff, Brooke's dog, Brooke's jealous boyfriend Kyle (Eric Balfour), and a homeless man (David Patrick Kelly) who wants two dollars from him (and has secretly stolen his wallet), and he is arrested.

In the San Fernando Valley during the summer of the early 1960s, protagonist Scotty Smalls moves into a new town with his mother and stepfather, and joins a local baseball team under captain Benjamin "the Jet" Rodriguez. With Benjamin's help, Scotty becomes a proficient player; but everybody learns that more than 150 of the team's numerous baseballs have ended up in the backyard fence of the sandlot, which is protected by an English Mastiff, a legendary ball-eating dog known as "The Beast," who belongs to his neighbor, Mr. Mertle. One day, the team's last ball lands in "The Beast's" possession, and Scotty substitutes one from his stepfather's collection, which is earlier signed by Babe Ruth. When this, too, is lost, the team construct a series of machines (each of them more complex than the last) to recover it remotely; but every time they ultimately fail. Inspired by a dream of Ruth (whom he admires), Benjamin is the first to seize the ball himself, while the others trap "The Beast;" whereupon Benjamin and Scotty return the latter to his owner, Mr. Mertle, who reveals that he himself knew Ruth, and later becomes the team's coach. Over the next three decades, Benjamin becomes a famous MLB player, and Scotty becomes a sports announcer.

After attending a Lakers basketball game, an immigration lawyer named Mack (Kevin Kline) finds himself at the mercy of potential muggers when his car breaks down in a bad part of Los Angeles late at night.
