Synopsis
The film tells the story of two young men, Woodrow and Aiden, who migrate to Los Angeles from Wisconsin. They both live in tiny, sordid dwellings in the suburb of L.A. called Bellflower, and spend their days constructing various weapons and testing them out in empty lots. They are drinking in a bar that hosts live acts, and when Woodrow volunteers to enter a cricket eating contest, he meets Milly, who beats him in the contest by eating more crickets. They are attracted to each other and at the end of the night they exchange phone numbers, while Aiden is talking to Milly's friend, Courtney.Actors

The quiet life of a Paris family is disturbed when they receive a series of surveillance tapes of the exterior of their residence from an anonymous source. Georges Laurent is the successful host of a French literary television program, living with his wife Anne, a book publisher, and their 12-year-old son Pierrot. Unmarked videocassettes arrive on their doorstep, tapes that show extended observation of their home's exterior from a static street camera that is never noticed. The story follows Yū Honda (Takahiro Nishijima), a young teenage Catholic attempting to live his life in a faithful and orderly manner. The film is the story of a depressed man who comes into a town with no future. The title character (Slater) wanders into a small sleepy town with the intent to kill himself. When the townspeople learn of his plan, Julian becomes a minor celebrity, and is offered all sorts of free perks since this is the most exciting thing to ever happen in that town. However, Julian gets attached to the town and decides life is worth living after all, much to the annoyance of the townspeople who decide to set into motion plans for his suicide, assisted or forced if need be, as long as he keeps his word and carries through with his original plans, much to his desperation and anger.
