In This Tricky Life (Spanish: En la puta vida) is a 2001 Uruguayan film directed by Beatriz Flores Silva. It was Uruguay's submission to the 74th Academy Awards for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but was not accepted as a nominee. The film was awarded the Colón de Oro at the Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva.

Synopsis

Elisa rêve d'installer un salon de coiffure dans un des quartiers les plus chics de Montevideo. D'un caractère plutôt rebelle, elle quitte avec ses deux petits enfants la maison de sa mère et envoie promener García, son patron et amant, qui se complaît dans une situation ambiguë. En moins de vingt-quatre heures, la voilà sans toit, sans "homme", sans travail et sans argent.

Elisa (27), mère de deux garçons, rêve d’installer un salon de coiffure dans un des quartiers les plus chics de Montévidéo.
